I am a librarian. I will just wander around and pick something off the shelves. I am going to be lazy and start with a book from each of the sections of non-fiction.

I've decided I'm also going to write more poetry in 2013. This has been a pretty low poem production year, so as long as I put a little bit of effort into it, it's easy to do. It's not like I'm resolving to beat 2012's 100 poems or anything.

I'm going to actually post here more often, for a start. And maybe finally get around to writing and making issue 2 of my perzine. And to read one fun book a month (that doesn't sound that hard but I'm a trainee teacher so the list of things I have to/could read is never-ending).

I like this. I've noticed I feel a lot better when I go out of my way to be nice to people; less negativity brewing in my cold, black heart and all that, I guess.

That's awesome - Let us know when you finish your perzine!
Also, more zebedee!!

Reading for fun is important; it's so easy to get burned out on school stuff.

This year I will find the balance between being kind to people and getting used by people...I hope.

It's been pending for a year or two now, but I will do it, dammit! (being super motivated and optimistic is another thing I'll be doing next year, it seems)

I'm gonna get a job that doesn't suck my will to live and will hopefully pay enough for me to finance a new kitchen. I'm also gonna finish redecorating the cat's room (which means putting up the awesome Panda With Cookie paper cut-out art that I bought) and hopefully get around to redecorating the rest of the flat.

But I won't be doing any cartwheels.

ETA - OH, I'm gonna make some damn dumplings! And sushi (well, that'll be a 2nd rather than a 1st, but I've been craving sushi but generally can't eat it at restaurants because it usually has stuff I can't or won't eat in it).
