YUP, I know just what you mean! I always resent the trope that guys want sex more than girls because this has never been my experience.

Ah, this has been my exact experience and it has occasionally been frustrating, to say the least.

Also, in the past few months I have bought an under bed harness and one of those cage bra things and have only used both of those things, like, twice. That needs to change.

The guy I talked about up thread, Doctor Who sex friend, he and I have had sex twice and used a condom never (I get in such sex-brain-mode, it's hard; he says he's normally really good about it, too) One hookup I had about a month ago, again, none, due to lame sex-brain... and then tonight I was going to be a good boy, and I didn't have to, he got one out before I needed to say anything, and we had sex like two safe sex smart peoples... but then the condom came off inside me! I sort of thought halfway through when we changed position and caught a glimpse of his cork I thought, hmm, that didn't look condom-y.. oh well... Yeah. Herrrrrppppp. I'm bad at safe sex.

Well that's the thing, it's super hard to make it a priority when in that headspace! And the pregnancy thing was just a guess based on my observation of then and now. Not fact of course. (All I meant to say is I really am trying, it's just there's a really big mental hurdle for me, and it's super hard to climb for me but I am trying!) (There's actually a lot of shame-based shiitake going on in that mental hurdle, too)

Oh very true, butthole for sure, the sex-brain-crazies are subdued for long enough due to lube needs that this is no problem. Problem is I have dos holes and often use the plenty-lubed-up-without-help hole! ;P

I planned ahead and put both condoms and lube RIGHT BESIDE my bed in plain open sight so it would not only be easier, but they'd see it, and get it in their minds, too. It worked! Though I think this guy would have wanted to be safe regardless, moral is it made me feel less ashamed to grab them, since they were there the whole time it felt like the subject was already broken!

Yay for planning!

I kept condoms in sight right beside my bed for a long time after I got off birth control just because they weren't a habit. Now they are in a drawer beside my bed but I'm in the habit of making sure that they get put on so it's okay. I'm more worried about getting pregnant than diseases, but it's good to know I'm covered for both. Without the pregnancy risk, it would be SO easy for me to not think about condoms.
