I've just had a really hard day with a lot of hard decisions and I need someone to tell me what I should do with my box of angel hair pasta for dinner. Don't say marinara or I'll break down and cry.

Do you have AFR? The pasta de los angeles calls for angel hair, and I love that recipe. Or make the broccoli and garlic pasta in AFR with angel hair. Its yummmo. Very garlicy.
Or, if you day is really shitty, you can cook it and throw it at the wall and see what kind of cool designs it makes.

AFR has a recipe I think. Black beans, some diced tomatoes, avocado.
Or, I'd do it with the blog sunflower Mac cheese sauce and veggies (peas!). Gardein tenders work well with that too.
Or herbs, olive oil, garlic, white beans, veggies, splash of wine. Spinach.

Maybe a nice vegan pesto sauce?

Late to this party - and I applaud your ultimate choice of peanut sauce - but this is what I would have suggested (and am in fact suggesting for the next time this dilemma arises): 1. Cook the pasta, and in the last minute or so, add about half a pound of frozen spinach. Reserve about a cup of the cooking water, and drain the noodles and spinach in a colander. 2. While the noodles are cooking, sauté a crapload of garlic and some pine nuts in a decent quantity of olive oil until golden. 3. Add sliced mushrooms and a few grinds of salt and pepper, cook a few minutes more, and add the pasta/spinach mixture to the skillet. 4. Stir to combine and cook over medium-high heat for a couple minutes, then add a ton of nooch and as much of the pasta water as necessary to achieve your desired degree of sauciness (imagine me saying that in a cooing, Nigella Lawsonesque tone while my bosoms heave unabashedly against the inadequate constraints of my faux-cashmere cardigan). 5. Taste for seasoning and eat the whole damn panful.
(I usually do this with ramen, but vermicelli or angel hair do just as well!)

now I feel like I need to go buy myself some angel hair pasta. which is really hard to find here. but on the other hand, I have loads of garlic, cherry tomatoes, basil and some zucchini that needs to be eating before tomorrow, and angel hair is delicious.

I'm also late to the party, obviously, but here's my go to recipe with angel hair and pantry staples.
Sauté a ton of garlic in olive oil, towards the end of sautéing add some crushed red pepper, a little salt, and some bread crumbs. Continue sautéing while stirring until the bread crumbs are golden. Toss with cooked angel hair and top with chopped parsley.
