Hello everyone! I'm back, in case you noticed I was gone! I had the most amazing vacation, it was really needed! Unfortunately I didn't meet any NZ PPKers (at least as far as I know), but still, the visit re-confirmed my love for this beautiful country. So, here is a summary of our trip: We walked along rocky beaches  We hiked through dense forests  Along rivers  Reaching beautiful lakes  After an unexpected 10 hours hike, we though we were hallucinating  (it's a wallaby) We enjoyed unspoiled beaches and the roaring ocean  We hiked to untouched little hidden lakes  And took many pictures of waterfalls  We climbed up a volcano  "50 shades of green: travels through NZ"  Some points are just beyond description  Vegan breakfast at the Southern Cross in Wellington (the menu also offered a vegan burger, and every dish was marked if vegan or if possible to make vegan)  And we explored caves and tunnels  All in all we had a smashing time, with just a couple of issues, like going on a hike expecting it to be max 6 hours, and instead hiking for 10, or driving toward some far away lakes and realizing in the middle of nowhere that we were out of gas. But we survived it all and now I have a nice tan and am back enjoying Munich. So, what happened here?

Three weeks! We only had a few days of rain, all the rest worked out perfectly.
eta: and obviously I am unable to take straight pictures. All the horizons are crooked!

ugh, so homesick.
Looks as if you had a fantastic time! I'm curious as to how vegan-friendly the touristy places were, there seems to be a bit of vegan main streaming occurring (at a glacial pace, but still) in the big cities - how were the smaller towns?

oh my gosh, those pics are AMAZING!!! Wowsers!!! What a great trip!
Also, last night I had a dream that I was back in Munich, walking through a big park, and I was really happy to be there. :)

Guys! I'm glad you like the pics, but tell me what happened here! I can't read the whole forum...
Yeah, getting there is the only pain. 30 hours trip all together, the way back was the longest. 14 hours from Hong Kong to London... I never realized how big Asia is.
