Just used some of the gift cards I got for christmas to buy a bunch of stuff. I love when it says "total due: $0.00". Getting free stuff is the best.

Yeah, I'd be happy enough being Mitt-Mitt's definition of middle class (didn't he say that was like people that made around 200,000). I really can't complain though because I have so much food and cookies, and a space heater, and I ended up getting some $$ for Christmas that is going to pay for Wilson's final immigration paperwork.

Yeah its especially funny because if I make any amount of money that doesn't go directly towards bills/food costs I immediately feel totally spoiled and wealthy. And my income is very very very very very far from $500,000. So imagining someone that makes that amount of money having any room for complaint about finances is pretty mindblowing.

I feel kind of rich just having over $1000 in my bank account at a time. It's like "WHAT WILL I DO WITH ALL THIS MONEY?"
I make like $20k a year.

I feel ya. I'd be able to afford to pay for a new kitchen in cash in less than a year if I didn't have student loans to pay back. In fact, I'd be able to do that *and* buy a new Mac *and* go on a decent holiday.
I'm not gonna make my reading goal for the year. Unless, of course, I manage to read 5 books in 4 days.

I make like $20k a year. I honestly feel fairly wealthy when my checking account is not overdrawn and I am not getting daily calls from Sallie Mae, Citi, Bank of America and/or Discover. That hasn't happened for months though.

Some people should not procreate. Not observing your child at all and allowing them to do things that would be detrimental to their hospital course, and then rewarding the family by giving them food and cookies? Beyond ridiculous.

Some eeevil mother hubbard suggested a nog recipe that I should've known would be awful based on the ingredients and method. But I trust other people, so I tried it, and it was awful. It was like drinking phlegm. *shudder* I'll maybe use it to make nog cupcakes or something. Actually, though it smelled like nog, it didn't really taste much like it, but I'm loathe to throw it out since it has 1/4 c of maple syrup in it. From now on, I'm gonna stick to BCG's nog recipe - it's always tasty and the proper consistency.
