Favorite and peculiar Culinary Guilty Pleasures!

I don't know if I'd call in a culinary pleasure, but sometimes a ketchup sandwich really hits the spot. I've also hat ketchup and daiya cheddar wedge to recreate my ketchup and kraft single sammiches of yore. And I wouldn't turn down a ketchup and potato chip sandwich.

I do this. I consider it neither peculiar or guilty- there's already a tomato product on the pizza! I picked it up from my friend's family- I guess it's a common thing in Iran? They're Persian.

I eat cream cheese and bread with an absurd amount of things:
hot sauce, grapes, bananas, peanut butter, jam, tofurkey, biscoff, chocolate chips, most sandwiches...

Also, guacamole sandwiches. Tortilla chips crunched up are a nice addition.

Rice and ketchup. When I was a kid I would eat bologna and ketchup sandwiches, GROSS.

Ok, I used to work at a Carrows (an american family restaurant, kinda like Denny's, but slightly better) and worked a LOT of hours. Always over lunch and dinnertime, so I would eat at work almost 2x Daily.

I got really tired of all the menu items. So here was my favorite dish. Ate it EVERY DAY for, geez, like close to a year. Not vegan, but close. Pretend it is for the sake of the thread, it could be easily veganized.

Mashed potatoes + Rice Pilaf topped with teriyaki sauce and parmasean cheese

Another favorite (at home) was White Rice + Soy Sauce + a shitton of Parmesan cheese. This was usually breakfast before going to work.

I rocked the ganj a lot back then, can you tell?

I had white rice with soy sauce and nooch just the other day, it was delicious! Would probably be even better with a dollop of EB or sesame oil.

Oh man. Must try rice + soy sauce + nooch. Add some roasted seaweed snacks.

actually, there is a really good parm sub that I like, it tastes JUST like the Kraft kind I used to get back in the day, the kind in the green container.

Hmmm..should I go to Whole Foods and get it so that I can re-live my peculiar Culinary Guilty Pleasure? It costs about $4 but I am sure I will come out of WF at least $20 lighter. Damn you whole foods.

I used to do it with teddy grahams! They get HUGE when you let them soak a long time and get mushy. I thought it was the coolest thing.

I used to love to spread peanut butter on cheddar cheese. I have not yet tried it with a vegan cheese.

This was dinner in my college years more times than I would like to admit. That, or rice with salsa. Microwaved and eaten out of a plastic bowl with dinosaurs on it, naturally.

My latest obsession is carrots dipped in a mix of Veganaise/sriracha/garlic powder. THE BEST.

Mine isn't a startling flavor combination, it's just kind of tragic. When I really really REALLY need comfort food, it's saltines with Earth Balance all the way.

Sometimes I get on these lettuce sandwich kicks: just whole wheat bread with veganaise or EB and lots of nice lettuce. It could be almost any good lettuce or a mix of lettuces, but no iceberg.

Hmm, If I was going to do this, I'd definitely use iceberg for maximum crunchiness.
I really want to try this now. Maybe with pickles too.

I know this isn't super weird or unique, but I've just discovered a local grocery store carries vegan frozen puff pastry! I'm in Malaysia so I was super excited. I've been stuffing them with choc chips that my family sends me from the states. So awesome!!! And EASY :)

I've been told my habit of dipping grilled cheese in ketchup is peculiar, if not trashy. I can live with that.

(I had one of these last night with the meltable cheddar from AVG. So yum)!

I definitely dunk my grilled cheese in ketchup if I'm not having soup (not that there was any doubt). My love of ketchup knows no bounds.

When you think about it, dipping grilled cheese in ketchup makes sense. It's not very different than dipping grilled cheese in tomato soup!
