I'm sure the olive oil soap from Kiss My Face is wonderful for some but it caused severe reactions in both myself and my husband. As soon as we stopped using it, the severe itching stopped :(
It's a VERY bad reaction, lots of tiny bumps all over our bodies that itch badly. So I'm just trying to give a heads up because I don't have a reaction to olive oil in food, it's kind of surprising.

And that's the only face soap that doesn't cause me problems!
It might not have been the olive oil. What else is in there?
Glad you figured out what the problem was.

Huh, yeah. I also have pretty sensitive skin, and that particular soap doesn't cause me any problems at all. I'm sorry to hear it bothers you...

I think just olive oil? I'm not try to trash it, it's probably good soap for other people but it's worth giving a heads up in case others get the same thing. Our reaction was so bad we actually had a dermatologist appointment scheduled. It doesn't appear we're the only people with the problem: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/show ... temid=7889

People have reactions to all sorts of things. I know that one well!
I get a little itchy from the chamomile and lavender versions, probably from the added fragrance. Nothing as serious as you mentioned, but that's why I asked.

I got an olive oil soap (not KMF) a couple years ago that made me itch and break out for a couple days. I didn't really look over the ingredients though, just stopped using it. /useless post

I bought it once a billion years ago and the oil must have gone rancid because the smell was sickening. I've been afraid to ever try it again. Also a useless post.

When I went to Greece many years ago, I bought a few things of olive oil soap but I found it to be pretty drying.
