this year i am thankful for:
-finished grad school -quit my job i hated -passed my licensing exam and became a licensed mental health counselor -support from my husband through all of the above -finally acquiring a taste for tofutti cream cheese -discovering chili cheese tater tots -myself, my husband, and my precious doggies being well and healthy -the open minded, supportive, and positive tone of the PPK

I'm thankful that some really stressful family situations resolved themselves. I'm thankful for our newest rescue kitty. He's mostly badness but he's my baby. I'm thankful for positive changes at my workplace. I'm thankful for another year with the people I love.

So, so much. I'm coming up on three years of mostly good stuff and I'm really thankful for where my life is.
Specifically, I am thankful for the deepening of my relationship with biker boy. I'm thankful for being in the best fitness of my life; I worked really hard for that this year, but the ability to do the work is also something I'm thankful for. I'm thankful that when one door closes, another one really does open (work stuff.) And, of course, I'm thankful for all the people and animals in my life that I love.

*My baby is happy and healthy.* My partner and I are healthy and mostly happy. I've planned a way to move on from my job that is annoying me. I have goals that will make life more interesting.

I have two beautiful, healthy, spunky daughters. I have a wonderful cat. My husband loves and supports me in spite of my many issues. I have an indoor laundry room.

- The kid is doing well and has grown from a baby to a little boy. He's also started daycare and we really like the place. - My husband is awesome. - My mum is probably my best friend right now, and helps us so much. It's great to see the relationship she has with little R, he loves his mommo.
I always think these opportunities for thankfulness are weird. I don't believe in a higher power or a "meaning" behind what's happening - who am I thanking? I feel a need to thank someone, but I don't know who or what.

- Health for my family - Ability to live in comfort - More specifically, an amazing community of support among my friends at school and in the broader world of people I've met this year. Just so much goodness. - I've discovered a love of the outdoors and led a week-long backpacking trip this fall. - Role models who have shown me how to work for justice and live a beautiful life

I'm grateful I survived 2012 in one piece!
I'm thankful for Peachy, without whom I wouldn't have gotten through.
I'm thankful for my friend Chris, who is 30-70 support and distraction.
I'm thankful that 2013 looks to be shaping up into a really good year.

- NL finally feels like home; I have a lot more best friend and close-friend types here than I could have imagined a year ago - All the amazing Amma-stuff that happened - Everywhere I went, I made new friends and was taken care of so sweetly - I got to see my grandma so many times - Scary health stuff is finally behind me? (? because I hope it is, but am not sure)

-I'm thankful for finding a job, after being laid off in 2011 -I'm thankful for the opportunity to move back home to Canada to a city that I love -I'm thankful for the new friends and thriving veg community that I found when I moved -I'm thankful for the two cats that found their ways into my life, after losing my dear dear kitty in March to cancer. I felt like I would never be able to love a cat again. -I'm thankful that my foot is nearly fully recovered after my surgery in 2011 -I'm thankful that I was able to run my first marathon this summer

I'm thankful for my boyfriend and partner. Our 4-year anniversary is today, and we met on the PPK. I love him with all of my self.
I'm thankful for our new kitten, Momo - adopted this year - who is a fuzzy demon, but also the most lovable lap cat. And I am thankful for his playmate and "mommy", Mido, who has been with us for over 2 years. We love them both so much and cannot imagine our lives without them.
I'm thankful I've remained active enough to complete a half marathon this year, and I hope to do at least one in 2013.
I'm thankful for receiving a promotion it likely would've taken years to receive if the stars had not aligned and opened really unique opportunities for me.
It was a good year, and I hope 2013 will be even better!

I'm thankful for my partner who makes me a far better person. I'm thankful for my cat who astonishes me with how much I can love a tiny little creature. I'm thankful for the perfect job and the best boss who encourages me to get better. I am always thankful for the incredibly close-knit family I am lucky enough to be part of. Really, I had a great year in 2012. I got to see lots of new places, meet new people (new family), and push myself to be better. I'm pretty optimistic that 2013 will be even better and certainly more adventurous.

- Mr8. He's my best friend, co-songwriter and I love him with all my heart. - I'm really, really glad that Baby Godzilla's life has become more peaceful and that he and his Mum are happier. Long may it continue. - The happy introduction of Godkin and Fujimoto into our herd of guinea pigs. - All of the wonderful musicians I've met or seen, the lovely promoters we've worked with and places we've performed. Also being able to record new songs. - My trainer Laurence. He's encouraged me to become physically stronger which has made me mentally stronger.

ive had a very low key year so that is a major thing to be thankful for to me.
highlights:
*amazingly awesome trip to Yellowstone in June. so thankful for how it went and all the amazing things we saw *my family's overall health and happiness despite some turbulent spots *all my pets are doing well and are healthy. i dont think i lost any this year (cant remember when my last sick piggie died, maybe have been late 2011. RIP Pepper) *i get to quit my much despised job in 2013 *having a baby in 2013 and despite a not very fun pregnancy so far by all reports from the dr baby is healthy and growing well even if i feel like poo *starting tomorrow or the next day (?) i will have been vegan for TWO years! an accomplishment im so proud of.

I'm thankful for: Graduating this year with my BA Rediscovering dance and the amazing community that I've become a part of. My supportive family and friends. And probably the most important, finally coming out. I'm thankful for the overwhelming support and love in my life through it. And meeting my lovely girlfriend.

this thread makes me smile. :)
i'm thankful for: - our dog (this past year she went through chemotherapy after surgery in late 2011 for thyroid cancer. she's still here (doing really well, too!) and i am so thankful for every day we have with her). - my amazing, open-hearted, and patient spouse. - quitting my job as a project engineer, following my heart, and becoming a massage therapist - every day. i know it seems really cheezy, but i read online the other day "you live everyday - you only die once". this really hit home.

I am thankful for:
- My job. It's gross, it's sometimes difficult, and it's probably one of the least vegan jobs I could've been hired for, but the money has made so many things possible, like getting a lap top and getting things I want and helping out. I also met some really great people, and then there's work crush :)
- Learning to love myself. This is something I decided to force upon myself, because I've had some issues with my looks and my weight for a long time and it's caused some problems. Things become so much better when you love yourself and accept yourself.
- My dog, for all her snuggles.
- My orthodontist and surgeon, who I'll be seeing this Friday!
- My mom for trying to work on our relationship and making things a lot better.
- Veganism. I became vegetarian in January with veganism as a lofty goal. How fun and easy it's turned out to be! I love it.
- Coffee and Silk creamer.

It's wonderful to read what everyone is thankful for. This year has been one of my best. I think I said that last year too!
This year I am thankful for: My husband, we have been through rough times and happy times and we are determined to get through the rough times, he is so supportive of me and he is generally a really kind and thoughtful person My son, he makes me laugh so much and he challenges me, I am a homebody and he gets me out in the world. He is also a huge inspiration and I am now considering doing things I never would have without him. My parents, they are always supportive and there for me. They are wonderful people, especially my mom who will let me talk and talk and talk about all the dumb stuff in my life My cats, they are excellent at snuggling I am thankful for finding myself more this year than I ever have before I have some of the most amazing friends and I could not get by without them, it never ceases to amaze me how caring and giving people truly are I am thankful for living in such a gorgeous place and having great neighbors I am thankful for all the great food I get to eat and for being a part of a community that values that
Apparently I could go on and on, but I will stop. As panda cookie would say, onward! I am excited for 2013 and good or bad, I cannot wait to see what it will bring.
