The stupid landlords posted this place as for rent... but don't disturb the tenants. People poking around my yard and parking in the middle of the street is not disturbing at all.

I'm so exhausted. I've been party prepping all day: cleaning, decorating, cooking, etc. I've been on my feet almost the whole day. I should go to bed and get a good night's sleep before my party tomorrow.

I hate waiting for packages. I need to do stuff, and I know everything is closing early because it's NYE, but I specifically chose express delivery to my home address for this because it *could* get to me today. So now I'm waiting. According to the tracker, it's out for delivery, but who knows how long that'll take. I can't even shower in case I miss it!

I ended up in tears last night because I'm so stressed about this move I'm making. I packed up the majority of my books in my reusable grocery bags and got kind of emotional, plus Rowdy has somehow managed to get a urinary tract infection so he'll need to go to the vet today, which I will have to squeeze in somewhere between going to sign my lease/get my keys, taking a load of books over to the new place, calling all the utility companies to have things switched, paying the internet bill/having that switched out of my name...all of that needs to happen before 3pm, and then I work from then until 11pm.

So I'm close to tears on the couch when my ex walks in and asks me how I'm doing, and then I start crying for real, like a turd. I just feel bad accepting kind words from him when I'm the one breaking up and leaving. He was, of course, super nice and supportive, which just made me feel worse.

I got very little sleep last night.

Came upstairs this morning to find husband's pants and belt on the kitchen counter, topped with a Krull DVD. Nearby, a brown banana peel that didn't get thrown away.

What a strange man.

I have to ask someone who owes me $200 to pay up. I hate asking for money so, so much but this is a professional arrangement and she has no cause to be 10 days late paying me. It really just grinds my gears that I'm put in the position of asking.

I just got back from Costa Rica last night. For the record: the food I brought was (partially) eaten but actually unneeded. I ate SO MUCH good food there. Tipico food as they call it is basically rice & beans (more rice than beans which is a travesty in my opinion), a small salad w/no dressing, some kind of cooked veggie/fruit thing that's vegan & fried plantains. Yum! Also, I had a delicious coconut milkshake w/banana & espresso & I think chocolate one night.

Has there been any drama on the PPK that I should know about? Fun & Exciting times?

MToes, asking is the worst. I suck at it but have had to have those conversations a couple times. They usually go much better than anticipated.

It's 9pm on new years eve, and instead of getting drunk and/or running from one party to the other to find the coolest one, I'm at home with my sweet old friend nerding on our computers, eating muffins and onion pie, and playing records. He moved to Canada last year, and I'm so happy that he's back and spending NYE with me. :)

Oooooh! I made my 1000th post in the vegan pet peeves thread.

I need to not be on the computer past midnight. I don't know why, but between 12:30 and 2 am I suddenly get the urge to do online shopping. Everything seems like a great deal at 1 am! Sometimes I forget I bought stuff, and then the next morning I will be so confused when I check my email and see order confirmations.

AP, it'll all work out. Your apartment is gorgeous and you will be so happy once the moving is over. Think to the future (the near future)!

My roommate and I put in an application for the (expensive) amazing place. The landlord loves us both- he's a guitarist who loves old Martins AND a big fan of the coffee shop my roommate works for. So much win. We barely talked about the place and how we are as tenants because we had so much else to talk about.
As long as the guy who applied before us continues to suck at filling out applications, we should be moving this week... oh man. I am so excited. And stressed, too, because we have a houseguest coming the 3rd, my roommate will be gone the 16th to 23rd, and I leave for NAMM the 23rd till the 29th.
So we basically have to move now...or February. And paint here. At least we technically have till February 15th to fix this place back up.

ha. I might think so if I hadn't seen him drop his pants in a billion different locations, basically when he's tired of wearing pants for the day. The kitchen counter is new though.

Molly is being really nippy. My fingers hurt. I don't know what her deal is.

I think I'm shrinking. I just measured myself at slightly over 5'6". I always thought I was 5'8"! I don't know what's going on!! Was I just totally wrong? I measured myself several times tonight and am pretty sure it's accurate. I feel like I've been living a lie!!

I'm panicking because work crush obviously really wants to hang out with me but we can't at my house because mom is sleeping and my room is a mess anyway so he's talking about his aunt's house for games and stuff and I'm just gonna go with it but I'm freaking out. I'll be really happy to be done with these bouts of anxiety. My thinking is that once the jaw surgery is done I'll be done worrying so much about everything.

GCZ, I think it'll be fun! I hope that the surgery takes care of the anxiety! Also, I'm so in awe of you taking initiative with work crush!

Hahaha! When we get unexpected orders for a vegan meal my boss often exclaims "Forking Vegans!" He has curbed this somewhat since I am now eating vegan (working on the rest). So tonight at our New Years Eve meal whenever somebody returned a plate for whatever reason I would exclaim "Forking Omnis!" He laughed. Still, I got to say it a lot!

Didn't end up hanging with work crush but we did exchange flirty texts, which I'll take. I'M GOING TO SEE LES MIS TODAY, OMG, SO PUMPED.

For my wild and crazy NYE I sorted photos on my computer and deleted over 4,000. I did not even make a dent.

But found some adorable ones of the youngest.

I'm sick. I had to call in sick to work but I really wanted that double time pay. :(

We just looked at the most perfect 4 bedroom house today.
We all want it soooo bad. And the landlady seemed to like us. AAAAHHH I want it!!!
