Happy 6th Anniversary to my beloved best friend Cuddles! This is what he looked like 6 years ago when I adopted him. He was still on a feeding tube, with scars all over, and missing a chunk of his ear. He had been mauled by 2 dogs and that was just the most recent part of his saga, obviously he had been through a lot. He was scared of grass, other dogs, overpasses, street musicians, and strollers - and when I invited him to come snuggle on my bed, he found a far corner of the apartment to hide instead. He weighed 50lbs and was really undernourished.  And this is Cuddles today. He weighs a healthy 70lbs and is just the sweetest dog. He loves kids and is absolutely bombproof - gentle with anyone, nothing spooks him. He has brought me so much joy and unconditional love. And once I stopped focussing on unavailable men and on rehabing my doggie, I met my awesome husband. And over the last six years our family has grown both in size and in love. Thank you for being my best friend ♥ And thank you as always to Joyce Friedman and Matt from Pets for Life for bringing a part of my heart home to me.
