I want to go for a run before it starts raining again, but my iPod needs charging. Do I go now and hope it doesn't run out, or wait and risk it raining? Why does the world hate me?

Also, why do Apple insist on making every version of iOS drain more and more battery life?

I'm sick & I've totally lost my voice, it's super annoying. I've forced myself to stay in bed today but I just wanna go out & do fun Christmassy things!

I left my favorite Nalgene bottle at work. My job is pretty out of the way (about a fifteen to twenty minute drive from home, and not really close to anywhere I would usually go otherwise), and I'm not scheduled to work for the next few days, so I probably won't get around to picking it up. Which means I have to drink water out of cups until then, even though I slightly prefer drinking it out of the bottle.

We had our Secret Santa at work today! I got a big bag of Hershey's kisses. :( I'm pretty sure I made a hilarious present face before I noticed there was also a Starbucks gift card in the bag.

I ate way too much spaghetti, and now I don't feel like doing anything.

It's the outside, but fortunately a lot of the exterior is vinyl siding so we can't do much about that! It's just a difficult color to work with.

And it's ok! As my husband said, "I've never known you to paint anything only once."

My partner and I suddenly have some large, unexpected bills, so we can't really spend any money at all until we've got them under control. Now I can't buy coffee from the coffee shop anymore. That is my one comfort that I treat myself to - and I've spent the last five years working to make coffee shops a place where one wants to spend their time, so it's doubly strange not to be able to visit regularly. Wahh..

Sorry, bodhi. My lattes are my big comfort too. I scrape everything else out of the budget first, even things most people would consider more important.

I borrowed $5 from a co-worker, so I went to the ATM to get money to pay her back. I stopped at GNC (between the ATM and the office) and got a pure bar to get change, and the guy gave me $0.70 in nickles! Nickles!

Absolutely. I scrape on pretty much any other flexible budgets (outside of my kids - ie, properly fitting clothes, etc) before I give up soy lattes. Sometimes I get lucky, and when I do go for a latte, I get it for free from my old co-workers. They have no idea how much it makes my day.

Ha, it sounds like my brother. He's moving, so he's getting rid of everything in his apartment, including ridiculous coin change. He had to pay for a drug test (I think?) and it was $2, so he gave the poor nurse nickels and dimes. He felt bad though.

I got this awesome punch that I can use to make guitar picks out of gift cards. And I received no gift cards.

Once upon a time (not actually very long ago) I was a cashier at a grocery store, and the supervisors in charge of fetching change HATED doing it. If you called for change, they'd treat you like you'd just done something horribly wrong. I hated dealing with them, and sometimes I'd wait to call until my drawer was almost empty and I absolutely had to. And sometimes I'd time it wrong, and I'd end up having to give someone a couple dollars in coins. Then I felt like a moron.

I was happy when I left that job.

There are too many interesting things to read on the PPK and now I'm running late.

Consistent pancake fails. Also, my jaw hurts again (I'm recovering from oral surgery and had 3 pain-free days and am still eating pretty much only mango lassi's every day for the past 3 weeks and out of nowhere, pain! Sigh).

It is so freaking cold in my apartment. My fingers and toes are numb, so I can't do the work I need to do. I want to curl up in a ball and whine and cry. SO COLD. Why is it so cold? Why can't I have control of my own temperature? Noooooo, the whole building is all on the same timing for the heat to come on and off! SO COLD.

Hope you've warmed up by now, DC!

Ok, so I'm probably an entitled bisque, but I'm kinda upset I didn't get anything for my birthday from my parents. I got a card, that was still in its plastic wrapper. They didn't even call.

It's not entitled to expect your parents to contact you on your birthday! I'm sorry that happened, fisticuffs.

I'm sorry fisticuffs. It's not entitled to think they should at least call.

My FWP is that I overtrained at the gym on Friday and now some muscles hurt to the touch. Also I've got so used to sleeping in that now I'm back at work I'm tired all the time. I need to take a nap when I get back home!

I'm no longer working night shifts and my sleep cycle is all out of whack. It's probably a good thing for school starting soon that I've been waking up early, but I'm not enjoying getting tired at ten, nine, eight in the evening...
