Ah man I'm really pissed off about UDPP - I use it every day and was so happy when they said it was vegan. I can't believe they've changed it!! Now I have to find another primer when I run of of PP. Bollocks.

But I really don't think they're trying to trick vegans or anything, they do have a page for vegan items when most companies don't go that far and the UDPP isn't on it now. Agreed. Urban Decay is really good about designating vegan products. It's certainly not their responsibility to issue a press release any time they change formulas.

Uh, I will be hella pissed of they un-veganed it right after including it in the vegan palette. I got the palette for my birthday, and had never used primer before, and I LOVE it so hard. I took a nap in that shiitake and my eyeshadow still stayed on.

It's kind of weird that they don't have ingredients for the Sin one. Maybe they're leaving that one for us? Here's hopin.

I think it is shady they declare it was vegan from the get go and now it is not. What worries me is they labeled it vegan but it was not. Origins did this many years ago, some vegan items contained fish scales, they refunded our money no questions asked...

What's definitely not vegan about it? I'm horrible at remembering non-vegan chemicals (which is why I don't buy makeup unless the ppk has told me it's okay), and it says synthetic beeswax.

I'm thinking the Isopropyl Lanolate but I could be wrong. I'm also horrible at remembering all the chemical stuff. A quick googling leads me to believe it's animal-derived, though.

I finally got a reply:
"Eyeshadow Primer Potion was declared by our suppliers as a vegan product; however it has come to our attention there could be a non-vegan ingredient being used in the formula. We are currently working with our supplier to ensure that it is a true vegan product."
I will update this thread when I get a new email!

bump. What are you guys using for eye primer these days that ISN'T e.l.f.? we don't have e.l.f. in Canada and the shipping on the site to here is crazy. I'm thinking of going to Sephora today.

I was looking at new primers and tried a new one but nothing is as good as ELF. I love the ELF one but need more coverage due to my eyelid rash..

too faced primer has a lanolin derivative as well. elf is really thin...the 'blush' mineral primer seems thicker & works better than the 'sheer' one, but i don't always want color. i don't remember the last one i had being so thin. i'm going with laura mercier eye canvas:)

I'm thinking of going to Sephora today. I usually wait for sales to make it worth it myself or go in on an order with a friend so we can split the shipping and customs. I just went to check and see if the free shipping thing cuts down on the shipping cost, and yes, it takes six dollars off the shipping so its just eight dollars for a twenty five dollar + shipment. Ended up ordering a bunch of stuff without meaning to. Whoops!

I use BareMinerals (formerly Bare Essencials) for the foundation powder, and the primer. As far as I can see, they are both vegan and they do not test on animals (not all of their products are vegan though, if that is a problem for you) I use the primer on my face, and on my eyelids. Its really light, lasts ~ 6-8 months using almost every day, and I love it. Only about $21. Then I use ELF eyeshadow cream as a base for my shadow. For days I don't wear foundation, I use the ELF eyelid primer and/or their eyeshadow cream. The ELF eyeshadow cream is interesting. I don't like it on its own, but when I use it as a base/primer for my powder shadow, I find that it stays on MUCH longer. And it is $1. Yeah $1. And there are a ton of colors. http://www.eyeslipsface.com/elf/eyes/ey ... adow_creamI have all the colors (because they are a DOLLAR) but use the butter pecan the most, since I usually do a nude palatte on my eyes for work.

i'm loving the laura mercier eye canvas...it's in a pot so it goes on smoothly--i use my ring finger to apply. they have several shades, too. i got the lightest one, it is a very pale neutral beige. about the same or slightly lighter than elf sheer, and lighter than mac painterly.
