I got this for my birthday! I expect it will soon be splattered with food like my other well-loved cookbooks.
Last night I made the
grilled eggplant, onion, tomato open-faced sandwiches with celeriac sauce. I don't have a grill so I broiled the onion and eggplant instead. I need to do that more often, those alone were awesome! The sauce is good but I have a ton extra - salad dressing, perhaps, or maybe I'll buy more eggplant so I can keep eating this. I accidentally blended the green onions with the sauce (instead of adding them after as directed) but it turned the sauce a pretty light green color. Can't wait to eat the leftovers at lunch today!
