i need to find out if i get Cooking Channel. i think the name Jason Wroebel sounds vaguely familiar but i dont know why.

That's exciting! But that is also a bullshiitake name for a Vegan cooking show.

cooking channel website refers to him as "king of superfoods"
ugh. i will have to overlook that.

maybe there is a teeny tiny asterik and fine print that says

if you have really good genetics and are super lucky

the page on the Cooking Channel website makes it sound like a "special" rather than a recurring tv show.

Glad to see a vegan cooking show. I would be happy with a vegetarian cooking show that mentioned vegan alternatives. I actually think that a vegetarian show would get more viewers too....

i figure even if the show stinks it's good to support just the idea of vegan or veg cooking shows.

I am trying to get out of seeing my parents to watch it. Sad unless you know my parents. :P

I caught something on PBS last month that was vegan, kind of early in the morning. I was not awake enough to note if it was a regular show or a special, but the soup that she made looked pretty damn delicious. Mostly, I was just really happy to see two vegan dishes being made on tv.

agreed, we canceled our tv subscription years ago. we watch a few shows using hulu for free and others directly on tv websites like pbs and stuff.

a regular vegan cooking show (rebroadcast on the web of course) would be awesome!

I have it on right now, and three minutes in it's already so annoying that I think I might bail.

I dont really know if I would call this a vegan cooking show. Its more of a health food show. It was ok, I would watch it again.

I don't want to live to be 100 if I have to be that irksome - for one thing, it would make my loved ones disinclined to have me around that long (and who would want to have sex with me?)!

I usually have a pretty high tolerance for bad TV, but I couldn't stand more than a few minutes of this. The show was all over the place and the host was insufferable.

There are two regularly airing vegan cooking shows on PBS. I can't remember the names of them for the life of me though. I saw them this summer.

The Jazzy Vegetarian? I just caught her for the second time on PBS and she seems to do all vegan stuff. The food looked good too.

I taped it. I'm scared to watch!

It's kinda funny to see the excitement of potential vegan cooking shows, here on a forum that exists because 2 women (or more?) in Brooklyn created a vegan cooking show. Well, I think it's amusing.

Also, vegan shows on pbs? really?

It was pretty annoying. I think he only gave the measurements for one recipe, so that's super helpful for someone who's actually interesting in making any of the dishes on the show.
