My fiance and I are planning our wedding for spring/summer 2014. We're in the Boston area and plan to get married some place around here (New England, not necessarily right by Boston). I'm looking for recommendations on awesome wedding venues and caterers.

My taste in venues seems to vary a lot from future husband's, but here are a few things we can agree on:
- Ceremony & reception in the same location (or very close to each other)
- Not a hotel, unless it is really unique, I guess - just nothing too stuffy or prepackaged
- Outdoor spaces are great as long as there is a reasonable backup plan in case of bad weather
- Room for a largish crowd (we're looking at around 130 guests)

So far we've toured the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation in Waltham, MA and the Codman Estate in Lincoln, MA, but each of us prefers a different one (I adore the museum but he is meh about it).

I'd also love some recommendations on caterers who are vegan-friendly!

So I noticed on the Middle East's website that they cater and offer whipped garlic by the pound! Going on my "potential caterers" list, obvs.

omfg. I need them to cater my daily life. whipped garlic all day everyday!

We went to a tasting there on Saturday and it was AMAZING. Seriously, everything is delicious and awesome.

I have a tasting scheduled for Red Lentil next month!

Oh, I nearly forgot - I did contact Walnut Grille and they do catering but want me to come in during the day on a weekday, which I can't really do. I get it though, they seem like they're really busy! Maybe I can convince them to have us in on a Saturday morning or something.
