Since everyone is coming up with their "top" lists at the end of the year, I decided to do one for my top 5 vegan/animal rights documentaries.

What are yours? They don't have to be only from 2012 either.

good list, tuxedocat. i still haven't watched earthlings (i can't handle any more of that footage, it upsets me for...well, forever) but i will check the other four.

Thanks for the feedback! I can definitely see why you haven't watched Earthlings. I've only watched it once myself and that was enough. For those on the fence though or in the early stages of veganism, it may help them to stay committed to a vegan lifestyle.

I have been watching so many lately! Not just on Veganism/Animal Rights but also on other ways of eating etc. My favourite was Vegucated and Forks over Knives was also interesting but not as compelling to watch I didn't think. I really want to watch one I heard of called Planeat so I might rent it on the weekend.

I really didn't like Fat Sick and Nearly Dead or FoodMatters - they were both lots of "DO THIS OR YOU'LL DIE" without any scientific evidence. Both of them were saying raw low fat veganism is the way to go and FoodMatters had alot about superfoods.

I've watched Earthlings a couple of times but recently when a friend asked to watch it neither her nor I could get through it... I even struggled with clips from Vegucated... I've become such a sook but that's okay with me. Some things warrant sookiness!

Fat Sick and Nearly Dead is my favorite. I watch it for fun. I have Forks Over Knives on now and it's kind of dull.

Great list. I've seen Vegucated but not the others mentioned. I may check them out down the road.
