Which ones are vegan? What is your favorite? Do they even exist outside Asia?

For those who don't know (I certainly didn't before moving to Korea) BB Creams are combined face creams, usually a foundation, moisturizer, toner, sunscreen in one and sometimes more (a lot of them have whitening agents too). BB stands for Blemish Balm and they were originally designed for patients with face surgery or burns who needed intense products.

I used a BB Cream from Skin Food for a while, but I started developping a rash so I quit my current cosmetics and try to move to higher quality stuff. I just found one from Bobbi Brown. It doesn't appear on their English website though...

i've never heard of them, but i'm generally clueless about anything cosmetic... sounds good though, although probably something that would make my skin go NUTS

I'll be watching this thread, I'd really like to buy vegan bb cream so keep us updated if you find any information on vegan ones!

For what it's worth , I came here looking for a bb cream for my friend who is vegan (I am not).I just received my hot pink skin79 bb cream and it does contain cholesterol, sorry. I'll check back here for a vegan one, or if I try another one and it turns out to be vegan, I'll update y'all :)

Boscia has a BBC cream that has no animal ingredients, nor tested on animals. So does Smashbox.

I saw an email from Sephora about BB Creams, but I already deleted it. Check their site under new products.

I've been using the fair shade of Smashbox BB cream, and I adored it, but I need to purchase to a different brand next time. I tried on Too Faced, but the lightest shade they have is too dark and yellow for me. Does anybody know of an affordable vegan BB cream that comes in a really light shade?

did you ever find a vegan BB cream, aelle? I totally want one..

it looks like Gosh a vegan kind! and in 5 different shades. the danish beauty blogs i read says it's perfume free and really great and quite cheap!

Jojo sent me a BB cream by Superdrug, I tried it this morning. It reminds me of the sample of Origins tinted mositurizer I had - it's darker than my skin (because pretty much everything is), but it's not opaque so I can manipulate the color with powder and it looks kind of dewey. The packaging says you can wear it with or without your regular moisturizer and foundation, I did end up putting a little foundation over it to help blend the color and because it didn't cover my unfaded acne scar on my chin.

Oooh I never knew what they were but Garnier is always advertising their 'BB cream' like I'm supposed to know what it is. :) I don't know much about who offers them.

I've done loads of research on them and bought some because I got a bit obsessed with them! hahaOnes I know are vegan (they're all UK brands):

I've got some others that I'm looking into. Of the ones I've tried, the MUA and Sleek ones are more like foundation to me and covered more than I wanted them to for a BB Cream. OK but nothing to write home about.

I LOVE the No 17 one. It's cheap but it's lovely, I really like the look it gives and it's not too dark for my pale skin. The superdrug one is also great and I love the smell. Like MBM found, it's darker than my skin but if I blend it really well and add powder I don't look orange.

GOSH one is next on my list to buy. I have some vouchers for Superdrug so I might try it out.

Do BB creams help reduce acne scarring? As in those little red marks that tend to stick around forever? I’m still trying to figure what the purpose of bb creams are..

Not really. they're really tinted moisturiser.

Actually, some do. Many of the Asian brands offer "whitening" properties, which can decrease scar pigmentation over time. I couldn't tell you if any of those brands are vegan though. As far as I know the BB creams sold in the western market are all basically just tinted moisturizer with a thicker consistency, some with sunscreen and other stuff added.

I'm new to this forum and was doing a search on the subject. I've become obsessed too except I haven't gotten a chance to try any because we just don't have the options they do in the UK. If you try the GOSH bb cream please let us know because I would totally love to pay like $15 as opposed to $38. I heard mixed reviews on the Superbrand generic version.

I ordered a no7 BB cream from the UK, hope it's worth it. Got a sample of Clinique BB cream at Sephora the other day. I am still on the fence whether or not to buy their products anymore with the evil parent co thing and all, and I haven't yet, but I wanted to just try a sample to see if a BB would suit me. This one has no animal ingredients btw. I actually really liked it. It is a heavy foundation and not just a glorified one, as I've read a lot of the US BB creams are. It's something I would probably not wear every day, just for special occasions, since it's so heavy and I feel like I torture my face with enough products. And the cost too, BB's generally ain't cheap.
Has anyone tried the Gosh BB yet?

i'm going to buy a gosh one as soon as i get money! so in 3 weeks-ish. i will report back when i get one!

I don't use BB cream, but TooFaced's is vegan.

Am going to try to score a sample of Too Faced tomorrow. I love samples!

the next generation, CC cream, is out now and Juice Beauty has one that they say is vegan.

The no 7 BB is got in the mail is more like a foundation, quite a lighter kind honestly, than any full coverage. My old Clinique foundation is way heavier than the BB. I am starting to think that the western BB's are indeed more glorified foundations (if that even) and not really anything like the real BB's. I am just going to stick to regular foundations and try not to get carried away with trying BB and CC creams. Oh well, I will at least use it, so it's not that much a waste of money. My favorite foundation is Bourjois and ELF (the one in the glass pump).
