You guys, I just picked up my hemp hoodlamb ladies classic coat (in ocean blue) from the post office and I forking LOVE it! It fits perfect, the color's great, the fake fur lining is super soft and comfy - it's everything I want in a coat (except machine washable, but you can't have everything). I'm even excited to go to the dentist tomorrow morning because now I have a place to show it off.

Epic freaking playdate. SO MUCH FUN. My house is trashed by toddlers, my food has fingerprints in it, my carpet has food ground in it, Leela's toys are all over the house and she is now stuffing her face. Its so nice when you have a mom friend you love and their toddler loves your toddler. The girls spent most of the day hugging and kissing. And then fighting over toys.

about 400 miles?!? But cheap flights tho, CHEAP FLIGHTS. You can't get all up in here and not see Scotland. That'd be pure criminal!
eta: oh oh! you should get up here and ask wee Bun about the Highlands bus tour she did. It looked and sounded super-magicals.

It's still hard to come by CDs that don't say "The London Suede" which is a silly name, but the majority of brand new CDs are now imports so they are starting to say 'Suede'. Oh man the song IS so good. I have a repeating playlist right now that consists of only Barriers and the Bowie single.

I was talking to my dad t'other night about how when I was 14 i said to him (about Dog Man Star), THIS IS THE BEST ALBUM EVAHHHH, and he said to me "pssssh! come back to me in 10 years time if you want to tell me that's great and maybe I'll take you seriously." Well, fork, it's way over time and it's still my forever love.

Local restaurant in my small hick town has a "vegetarian plate" option on the menu! It is essentially a collection of sides with salad, rice and your choice of potato side but I ended up with a big plate of food and it was easily made vegan with garden over ceasar salad and appropriate potato selection. And it was all tasty. I hardly ever eat out but it's nice to know that there's one place in town where I can just order a dish without asking for special accomodations.

Dog Man Star definitely makes my top 5 albums list every single time it is SO GOOD why would he ever doubt it. Nerding about Suede = today's best thing. Long live this album!

I got this notice in the mail from the library saying that I had a way over due book and the cost to replace it would be $33. I was sure I returned it with all the other books I returned, but I looked everywhere over and over again including under the bed and couch and under the car seats searching for it. Then I gave up and went to the library feeling like a terrible, shameful, book losing library patron and ready to hand over $33 to redeem myself. But the librarian said the computer wasn't showing this way overdue book! She said the letter and my return must have crossed paths, which really doesn't make sense, because I know I didn't make a special trip to return just that book, so they should have gotten it when they got all the others. Maybe they misplaced it and then found it. Anyway, I no longer feel like a worthless member of society and I got to keep my $33!

I won the raffle at my slimming club - the prize was a huge crate of vegetables, including a massive bunch of curly kale. Now I just have to work out how to eat them all before they turn bad.

Nice! Great raffle prize.
I think one of my best things a couple of weeks ago was finding out my direct debit for gas and electricity had been reduced. Well, not only that, but today they sent me a rebate cheque (which will probably cover my buildings insurance renewal costs, due in a couple of months). Gosh, I do love not having to worry about money for a wee while.
