I'm in SF but nothing in this thread calls to me. Prove me wrong!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is the first Iv'e heard of them. TJ's really has them?

So I went to TJ's and I couldn't bring myself to buy that admittedly nasty looking Daiyaesque cheese; but I did get spicy pecans, coconut strips, herbed popcorn, salted green beans, salt chocolate almonds and a tom yam soup for old time's sake. Oh and two bottles of wine. I was rather disappointed that the selection hasn't changed much in the years since I left the states.

I have seen these but for some reason hesitant to buy them. The regular tots are great. First night I bought a bag of the regular, the husband and I ate almost the entire bag. We had been tot-deprived for some time. Now, I might have to break down and just try a bag of the sweet tots.

We had this for lunch yesterday, and it was everything I hoped it would be. Thanks for suggesting it!

In other news, these are way better than they have any right to be. I could easily dispatch an entire bag all by my greedy little self.

I didn't like the sweet potato tots. They didn't crisp up well, although I did bake not fry. Regular tots are good! And sweet potato chips are especially nice with the spicy hummus.

I impulse-bought the lightly sweetened black & white puffed rice rolls because they were next to the coffee grinder while I was standing around waiting for my beans to grind. The cashier said they were like rice krispie treats except healthy. Uh, no. I mean, I guess in the sense that they're sort of sticky and crispy. Pretty flavorless, though.

I didn't care for the TJ's regular tots. For some reason they had a peanut-buttery taste to me. While I love peanut butter, I don't want my tots to taste like it. My boyfriend didn't think they tasted peanut-buttery, so maybe it's just me.

Ah!! I used great restraint not to buy the crunchy cookie butter. It is way better than creamy. How are the almond bark thins?

I hate to be a crasshole...but the cookie spread is not vegan. It's made with Bone Char sugar. I asked at my local TJ's

I know that is not a problem for some, but if I know about it, I can't eat it

They do sell the Biscoff brand at walmart though, and it is vegan for sure.

(funny, my OMNI partner wont eat it either. He eats meat though. Weird)

Egads, that sucks about the cookie butter. I've never had the TJ's brand, though, only the Biscoff brand.

I've finally tried the glory that is the roasted coconut chips. So very yum. Not what I expected, exactly, but still so good.

Also, I second the sweet potato chips love with hummus. That's a fabulous combination!

I think Trader Joe's isn't willing to put a vegan label on anything that they can't guarantee has all vegan ingredients, including sugar. So certain items like the biscoff, they can't guarantee the source of the sugar so they don't label it vegan. I'd still eat it if I wanted to eat cookie butter.

Is this why some of the hummus' don't have a V? My mom brought me a tub of the classic and creamy flavor. (I think thats what it's called) I can't for the life of me see what it's not vegan.

My daughter will be so excited about the sweet potato tots. She's allergic to regular potatoes.

Some of the TJ's hummus contains milk. Otherwise, I don't think there's anything not vegan in them.

Yeah, it's usually that, or the shared equipment thing. So I just read the label and then go from there!
