Ok, so I'm probably an entitled bisque, but I'm kinda upset I didn't get anything for my birthday from my parents. I got a card, that was still in its plastic wrapper. They didn't even call. I'm sorry. I don't think you sound entitled at all, I would be really upset if my parents did that. Really really fwp: All of the dressing in my salad consolidated to one little pocket, but since I was eating kind of mindlessly while working, I didn't notice until I reached said pocket of dressing. THIS WILL NOT STAND.

I got my new amplifier in the mail today. I haven't had an amp...like...ever. I've had really shiitake amps intermittently, and this is the first good amp I've ever owned, after eight years of playing guitar.
I don't have a quarter-inch instrument cable. I have a speaker cable and a mic cable, but no instrument cable. It's at my old practice space. DAMN IT! I WANT TO PLAY YOU FOR EVER.

Thankfully I actually had practice and my bandmate had a cable I could use, so I got to play it for an hour, but only to practice. It's so amazing. I'm going to get another cable Wednesday when I'm back at work. I'm sad I won't get to play tomorrow, but it's a distraction from packing and studying, so it's just as well, even though it's a brand new beautiful toy.

I ate my yummy bagel sandwich too fast and now I'm still hungry. I could make another but I know if I wait for my brain to catch up to all the food in my stomach, I won't be hungry anymore. But it was so yummy.

I have tons of tasty food in my fridge, but I'm too full to eat any of it.

it was buy one get one free on cauliflowers at the shop. I can't fit two cauliflowers in my fridge at the same time.

Roast and eat one in its entirety as soon as you get home! (If you can't eat a whole head of cauliflower in one sitting you're probably not even vegan. Can that be a thing? Can we make that a thing?)

Roasted cauliflower is the best thing ever. How could you not want to eat the whole thing in one sitting?!?!?!

Are those mutant cauliflower heads or is your fridge teensy?
Roasting makes cauliflower ok, but, in general, I kind of need it covered in cheeszy sauce to enjoy. I'd rather eat broccoli.

I need a bigger soup pot! Everytime I make soup lately it's too much for the one I use. AFR's Arabian Lentil fills it to the brim, and tonight Isa's Chickpea & Rice Soup is way too much for it. I had to take a bunch out to put in the kale.

I got my huge asparagus stock pot at Salvation Army, best $3 ever spent.

I'm trying to figure out if I want to go to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's today. Trader Joe's is slightly out of my way BUT it is a federal holiday so traffic is generally light. Being a federal holiday though, it might be more crowded as people are shopping for the week. I haven't been to TJs in a long time.

Do you like the produce at your TJ's? Do they have the stuff you usually get? I usually only get snacks at TJ's and produce/normal weekly stuff at Whole Foods, so that would make the difference for me.

I have all the produce I need (our TJs sucks for produce). I was thinking tofu, nuts, (whole foods has a vegan breakfast patty?), etc. Maybe a loaf of bread. TJs is probably the smarter choice based on what I need.

I hate the TJ tofu. The extra firm always totally falls apart on me when I cut it. I tried to make baked tofu last week and it disintegrated into a pile of mushy pieces.
They sure are the best for nuts though. MMmm, pistachios that are affordable if I squint sideways at the price tag.

Have you tried the high protein extra firm? That works really well for me. Its as firm as I could get with my tofu express

I totally ate a whole roasted cauliflower in the last few weeks. I did it in flowerets rather than roasted whole. But anyway. I *thought* of packing some up to put away for lunch the next day. But I decided that wasn't worth it, so I ate it all. Ommmmmmmnommmmm. First world vegan win!
