We miss the goat so much! (This morning, I was scooping a litterbox and it smelled really bad so I made a muffled noise of disgust. My mom, who was on the other side of the room, said, "Oh my gosh, I miss Hamish so much that I can actually hear him still!" I had to tell her that no, she was not having auditory hallucinations. It was just me making sort-of-sounds-like-a-goat noises.)
I know he is really happy in his new home, though. We got an email that Hamish and his two new friends were all snuggled up together last night!

Awww! I bet he's happy to have some goat buddies to hang out with. I really want to go visit Hamish and his pals.

They sent us these pics this morning! The goat on the table is named Levi. He was rescued from a slaughter auction. Hamish made friends with the dogs, too! This one is named Freedom, and there is also a little pug and an elderly border collie. They have renamed him Milton (which is not as cool as Hamish MacGoat, but I guess it's alright). So if anyone does visit WInslow farm, you can ask for Milton and see him with his new friends!

I love how Hamish (okay, Milton, but I do prefer the name Hamish) just loves everyone! His fellow goats, the doggies. I bet he got a liking for dogs from staying with you guys, raspberries. Now he's just spreading the love around to all the creatures around him! He's no speciesist. What a dear little heart he has!

I know! They said, "We're going to call him Milton, after your town!" all excitedly, and I was like :( okay.

When he is able to be moved into the main corral, he can meet horses and sheep and chickens and cats and all kinds of other animals. I'm curious to see what he'll think of that!

This is my favorite animal rescue story lately. You guys rock! Everyone involved rocks! Thanks to you guys, this loving little goat will have a wonderful and peaceful, happy life. What a thing you all do to protect our fellow creatures in this world who others neglect! <3 <3 <3

Yay! Happy Milton! Look how white the feathers on the 37-year-old goose are!

I just scrolled through that bunch of pictures going "I want to be a goat when I grow up!" "No, I want to be an alpaca!" "No, a donkey!" "Aaah okay maybe a sheep!"
