Looking for tips on where I can donate some cat things, some opened if that's acceptable, like: cat liter, prescription diet food, regular food, cat treats, etc. I live in Manhattan, so that would be easier for me.

I don't think many places accept opened products that I'm aware of. I've donated before to Animal Haven. They're a great organization!

Thanks, this is helpful. If anyone out there could use science diet dry feline food, I have about 3lbs of a 4lb bag left. Also a partial box of arm & hammer unscented cat liter. Trying to keep out of land fill, but probably only worthwhile if you are somewhat close to east village (or planning to go to lula's).

I know there were place accepting opened food/litter right after Sandy, but not sure what the situation is now.
