GUYS! I DID IT!!!!!!!! I went in and he was doing inventory or something so we stood around shooting the shiitake for a bit and when he had to go back to work he said it was good to see me and then winked at me. I walked around, grabbed my groceries and after i paid the cashier I took a HUGE deep breath and walked right back up to him and asked if he wanted to grab a drink sometime. He said definitely and gave me his number! omfg omfg omfg.

I have been sweating over this all day. Literally, I had to go to CVS and buy deodorant halfway through the day because my tom's was failing me in the stress sweating department.

I might be crushing on a guy who's far too young for me (and who is allergic to cats).

Oh my gosh. The adorable guy I made out with last night just texted me "I think I'm a little crushed out on you at the moment :)"

Dudes. All I want in real life is for people to have crushes on me. This is the first person to ever tell me so! Seriously, all the flings I have, no one says this! I'm definitely going to have to upgrade him to crush now. I will call him Cheese Crush. (He works in the cheese dpt. of the same company as I do, different location).

Crush basically asked me to sleepover tomorrow night. Said that it'd be easier for me in the morning since we were hanging out anyways (I have to be somewhere ~8:30 or 9am that's far closer to him than where I live). He offered the fold out couch.

I just think it's hilarious that when 'sleeping over' at someone's place comes up prior to it happening (rather than it being spontaneous), they always offer the couch. As if I'm not going to be all in their space. I mean, if he's way more comfortable w/me sleeping there, I guess.. (I really think it's that thing people say (to me, in my experience) for first dating sleepover if it's semi anticipated.

That just reminded me of carrying my toothbrush around with me just in case I ended up sleeping over when my husband and I were first dating. I don't know if he knows this, but I decided I liked him before he actually asked me out and I was at a party at his house and totally brought my toothbrush with me in case i stayed late and he was drinking and stuff. ha! totally didn't happen, but i was prepared.

Guys.

I am 99.9% certain my crush likes me back. He told me so. I am assuming this is what he means by saying "I like you. I thought you should know." BUT he lives in London and I live in various parts of the US. BUT I am going to go stay with him for 10 days in March AND I am planning on doing a MA in medieval studies in the UK. Ahhhhh. I swear I have asked people out in the past why so awkward.

P.S. now that I have told the PPK this is officially a real thing.

Nope. It's all about plausible deniability.

My crush is coming over tonight.

I spent last night in bed vomiting but I am so happy I'm feeling better now because 1) vomiting sucks and 2) I would have had to cancel.

I have such a huge crush on one of our teachers at work. It's steadily grown and it's totally unrequited and just a face value crush, but hot damn he's cute and funny. And plays upright bass. He's also probably ten years older than me. But it makes for some Good Fridays.

Hah! The capitalization was all autocorrect.

Just a heads up- many of my friends (friends from HS) went to a small lib arts college and majored in English. Dr D was their fave and they alllll had some level of crush. One person was particularly insistent on her crush. She pretty much spent 4 years of college hanging out in his office wooing him.
They have now been together nearly 10 years. Supposedly they waited til she graduated.

She was always pretty sure about getting what she wanted in regards to relationships too. She dated my hs bf after we broke up, and I'm not 100% sure she didn't get it on with my bf before we broke up, but its ok. I mean, I'm glad someone could make him happy after he got broken up with because I was a lesbian...

Success! Have acquired a Thing with Cute Boy. We have yet to define what constitutes a Thing, but it exists, so there you go. We will work further to define it when I visit in March and there will be maybe dating and things. But for now we are calling it a Thing. (can one still have a crush on someone with whom there is a Thing?)

Oh, I'm sure if I pursued it, it would probably happen. He's flirting back and always makes a point to come up to me and ask for things or talk to me after his lessons. (I work in a music store, so it's not like he's a professor and I'm a student! Just coworkers.) However, I've got a boyfriend! This is just a giggly-happy-tonguetied crush.
But...God forbid we break up...I'm comin' for ya. ;)
