 This is Kirby. Wednesday night, he was attacked by what we believe could be a coyote. His eye was bulging out of his head and had to be pushed and sewn back in. He also has a broken jaw. Today he is having to have surgery for the jaw. Please just keep us in your thoughts. We just spent almost $1k on our other dog for a dental and mass removal. While he is healing up, this happened. You all may know what it took to get my little Nugget (he lived with people who were neglecting him). He's about 9 years old and he's my baby boy. He has such a sweet personality. It is breaking my heart to see him in this shape. Thank you all!

I'm glad they were able to save his eye! Not that there's anything wrong with one-eyed dogs.

We aren't out of the woods with his eye yet. We have to see in a week or so if it will be salvageable but the doctor said it did look good.

poor lil guy!
one of our dogs was mauled very badly by another dog once so i know exactly what you're going through. it' just awful!!

His brothers and sisters were happy to see him. He is eating and drinking on his own and seems to be in good spirits. He is on good painkillers, too ;)
