I have a swap package on the way so I don't think I need anything, but if you're in Glenelg again there's a new vegan cafe called The Annex, on Waterloo Street (just off Jetty Road). I haven't been yet because they were closed over Christmas, but all of our friends love it (the BLTs especially).
Hope things are going okay!

I was gonna stock up in Glenelg (assuming the IGA is still rad?) before heading into Pirie..so that seems like a perfect 'fork jetlag in the arse' lunch!
(ps, good chance I'll end up in Cranberry this time next week if you want to hit Dickson. are other Canberra ppkers still around?)

I'd say Tings, but they take up too much room in bags... Have a safe trip!

I'm in savings mode but I can do my best to scrape together Au Lac funds! Did you mean Foodworks on Jetty Road? They've closed down (which I'm super sad about, because the people that owned it were so lovely). The Coles off Jetty Road is pretty huge and decent, though. Oh, and when I was there a few weeks ago they were building a Goodies and Grains (I don't know if you've ever been there, it's a huge bulk hippie store in the central markets in the city) on Jetty Road too, not sure if that's up and running yet. There's also an organic grocery place on the Broadway in Glenelg South that can be decent for vegan provisions.

oh yeah, Foodworks, not IGA. closed? no! when I was there in March, the shelves did seem kinda bare though.. didn't have that much vibrance. oh well.
I can probably manage at Coles though. what's the quinoa availability at an average Adelaide Coles these days? who am I kidding: get me Mintons and Bonsoy and I'll be happy
also, we could just do snax in Braddon at that new place if you want to save some beans and try it out (if they're open into the evenings..)

Yeah, quinoa is everywhere now. Woolies have Macro quinoa too (in assorted colours!), so that's a good option even if they are being wangs about the whole tofu thing.
The new place in Braddon is open on Thursday nights but they're pretty pricey anyway, so I'd probably spend the same either way. Au Lac is fine!
Also, I ate a whole packet of Mintons for dinner the other night. NO REGRETS.

Oh hai Australia! I'm totally gonna be in you! From approximately Feb 23-March 3, in Sydney for gay Mardi Gras. As with all of my trips, I'm very down to meet up when I'm not out forking boys. :-)

Boo, I'm going to be in Sydney the weekend before the 23rd! Speaking of which, is there anywhere new and awesome I should check out? We're definitely stocking up at Spoon's again since we just finished the last of our freezer-schnitzels the other day.

There's the new Cruelty Free Shop on Glebe Point Road!
Also, I am in Canberra and down for Dickson or Sweet Bones next week. :)

Has anyone in NZ seen the Alpro puddings anywhere? I bought them all the time when I lived in the UK, my local supermarket has started stocking the Alpro custard and cream and I saw an add in a magazine that had a picture of the puddings so I'm wondering if they are being imported too but I haven't seen them anywhere.

they go by "Belsoy" in Canada (I haven't seen them in the US), so maybe keep an eye out for that too?
Cranberry-ans: how's Tuesday? though, I seem to remember places being closed on some random night which might be Tuesday. in which case: Wednesday?

Tuesday and Wednesday are both good for me.
I will probably lose my mind (and dignity) if I find Alpro stuff here. When I flew to and from Europe last year they had Alpro desserts on the plane and I ate mine and Boyfriend's, and then asked for more. So good.

I like Alpro/Provamel too, especially the vanilla bean yoghurt, oh my! Alas, we don't get any of those products to my knowledge. I did see some brand of coconut milk 'beverage' (like So Delicious) in a supermarket the other day, unless I dreamt that. Came in here to say, why didn't I know this existed? www.veganbeauty.com.au I want to try Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.

Tuesday at 7 is fine for me (and the other half if he's welcome- there may be hell to pay if I get Au Lac without him), but other times are fine too!
