WHERE?

I got my new glasses in the mail! And my Penzey's spices.

Oh, and then there is a bad thing that turned into a good thing... my cat, Callie, had been throwing up the past few days and not really eating much, after doing SO MUCH BETTER from being hospitalized for a week in December. I took her to the vet and they gave her a couple of meds (to control her stomach acid and nausea) and a little while after getting back, she was snacking at the food dish. Yay! Hopefully her esophagus being irritated from horking up a hairball was the only problem and this is fixing it. She's put back on a pound in the last month, and it was so awesome to see her gaining weight and getting healthy after having bad liver problems, so hopefully the trend of improving continues.

Saw my best friend today!

I got a free facial today (not THAT kind of facial, ya filthy pervs)! And a free eyebrow wax. My skin feels so goooooooood.

Two of my coworkers talking about how excellent my style is and how they always check to see what I'm wearing each day. And that, since the surgery, I'm "glowing".

Flour! New location on Clarendon Street near the Back Bay T station. I now pass it every day on my way to work.

I'm working on a Saturday, and looking at the cases last night it seemed like today was going to be pretty horriffic. So far, the bad case cancelled and I've been sitting on my butt for the last 5 hours. 3 hours to go!

bun came over and let me feed her pancakes! She also went down the street and bought me groceries, translated a tricky thing into English, and told lots of stories.

Oh. Mmm, glad they're too far away from me because I'd eat their baked goods and then feel gross. (It appears, unfortunately, that I do better on a low gluten diet. BAH. Also, they're so heavy with their oil.)

But yay vegan baked goods in more locations!

Best thing: anticipating that it'll be spending a couple hours skype chatting with my group of friends from firefly fandom. <3

I bought Leonard Cohen tickets! Buying concert tickets stresses me out because whoa, expensive, but the Cohen show I saw a few years ago was worth a million dollars, and I justified it because Sir. Cohen is 78 and not to be pessimistic but the chances are high that he won't be coming to Victoria again. OMG I can't wait.

I'm... organized! I've already done all the laundry, changed the bed sheets, laid out my gym kit and lunch for work tomorrow. All this and it's not even 4pm yet!

I added up my current deposit monies and balanced my checkbook and I have (just barely) more than enough to pay my rent + pet deposit for February! Huzzah! I'm going to go pay it on Tuesday so I don't have to think about it any more!

+1 Actually, I'd be jealous of any outdoor skating, even at a rink. One of a very few things I miss about living in Spokane.

My best thing is that, on an otherwise awful run, a bald eagle flew right over me, maybe 15-20 feet overhead. So cool.

we are all laying around like bloated corpses, we all ate SO MUCH. this is why I can only make gobhi manchurian about once every three months or so. but damn was it worth it.

Tom kha up in here! Sashi posted photos of hers on FB and I had to make it. On a whim I added soy yogurt to thicken it up a bit and it was perfect...added a hint of sourness that just, oh god, yummmmmmm.

New best thing: My friend and his lady and their little girl came over for dinner and it was lovely. We had gossip and little girl peed on my floor and played with crayons and my 'stuffies' and my cats. Despite the peeing, it was fun and I love cooking for people, so.

Mine was playing with Leela on the swings followed by falafel and a 4 hour nap alone.
Oh and waffles and a Scrubs marathon in the am (also alone). My husband rocks <3

I am also jealous of this! I don't think I've gone skating outside since I was like 12.

Finally worked up the nerve to not only buy a neti pot, but to also use it! I only got a little bit of water in my mouth (left to right was harder to do than right to left) and I think it helped? I feel like such a hippy with my diva cup in and my neti pot use!

Just make sure you're using distilled/cooled-down, boiled/microfiltered water! You don't want an amoeba! Haha.
