I grew up in Massachusetts, with a mother from England and a father from Chicago, and we call it stuffing (although it was always cooked separately from the turkey, so the only thing it was "stuffed" into was our mouths!). All these stuffing threads are making me hungry!

I live in TX and I've always called it stuffing, and I've never had it with cornbread. Usually there is stuffing inside of the turkey (blech!), and some made outside of the turkey for people who like it crispier and not covered with fat.

growing up I'd never eat anything called "stuffing" cause that meant it would have random turkey parts-that nasty thing you are supposed to put in the trash-all chopped up in it. Dressing was safe!
