I do not think this is super romantic but my boyfriend will dig it: http://www.ukiyoeheroes.com/products-pa ... on-giclee/I will get it framed at Aaron Bros or Micheal's - whoever has a coupon that week! I am also buying him a 6 pack (minus one since it will be in the fridge waiting for him to have with dinner) of Fat Tire... I am not a romantic person...I try. How about you?

For gifts in general for my husband, I generally buy something small like a DVD I know he'll like or some dark chocolate we normally don't buy or a special tea.
That is about romantic as I get. I like your gift though, if I gave that to my husband, he'd think it was cool.

I'm going to get my boyfriend a tomahawk. and his birthday is the 28th so I think I'll throw in a few books perhaps in that mail order.

MMC, that's a cool gift!
I'm not romantic either. My "gift" is to make us a nice dinner and dessert. And maybe go out to a movie (on a weeknight even! gasp!).

My gift to biker boy is that he gets to accompany me to Austin on the 14th for my marathon. I should probably consider that his gift to me, though, and come up with something for him! Hmm... maybe something for the trip.

My SO is joking that we're going to break up on the 13th and get back together on the 15th, so no presents needed. I like his thinking.

We don't do gifts or Valentine's Day, but we are both a little bit run down, so I might give in to one of those cheesy couples spa deals at this nice local place/tea house that uses all natural/organic/vegan products. They are partners with my workplace and offered me special rates, so...

I'm trying to think of a small and "creative" Valentine's gift but I don't have any brilliant ideas at the moment. My boyfriend and I don't make a huge deal out of VD-day (hurr), but usually we swap chocolates and a card. I'd like to think of something more interesting this year, but if all else fails I don't think he'd complain about getting another hunk of dark chocolate. Even a more creative vehicle for presenting a hunk of dark chocolate would be good. Anyone have ideas along those lines?

Not really Valentine's but ThinkGeek had a Sriracha chocolate bar and a Batman shirt that I think my husband would like. I bought them both.

I keep asking people about their v-day plans and the consistent answer is it's too early to think about it. Suit yourself, but you definitely need more than 2 weeks to make a scrapbook of love. I mean, I didn't do that. We're going to a hotel to get away from our cats. Other possible ideas that I'm not using that someone else should: -fill your trunk with balloons and then ask your person to get your jacket out of the trunk. -there's never been a more appropriate time to give someone a 6 pack of Crush soda.

I haven't used it on my boyfriend, but I have been known to inflate dozens and hide them under coworker's desks, roommate's beds etc. Always a good trick.

I ordered this for my husband. I don't really want to make a fancy meal on a workday, so we'll probably go out for Indian or Ethiopian, since they're less likely to be crowded, and kind of our favorites anyway.

I'm really broke so I'm just going to make my boyfriend his favorite cookies and write "you're hott" on them with frosting. I did the same thing last year just with cupcakes.

Maybe I'm a little sensitive but it's like Surinam toads for me! Do not google toads or boob without steeling yourself! But yeah, it kind of does. :( My sweetheart and I don't really do anything for Valentine's Day. Maybe I'll make Hannah Kaminsky's Black Bleeding Hearts!

I got jdfunks this passport locket ring. Gave it to her early because I'm the worst at holding onto gifts. I'm really happy with how much she dug it.

I think I might bake cookies for hubby and buy him an iTunes gift card - just a little one.

The damn art print has still not arrived! I bought him the new Raveonettes ep (I bought him the album a few weeks ago...) and a Asian revenge DVD...I know they will get here in time...They are place holders for the art!

I ordered the Blue Lotus Chai 3-pack from Vegan Cuts. It's been sitting on our counter for a week & he hasn't noticed. He's having minor surgery on Wednesday; so we're going to take it easy this year.

I got my dude a bunch of sticks of his favorite chapstick because I always used to take his. I don't know what else to get. I'm out of ideas this year. Maybe I'll just make brownies.
