I think there's an odd number of participants, so I think you can still join if you pm doncherryfan, Meggs.

Is there a "deadline" for these swaps? I was hoping to get mine to my partner for Christmas, but I don't think it's going to work logistically...

I'm going away on December 25th for 10 days, so I will definitely get it sent out before I leave.

I posted mine on Wednesday. So . . . it might or might not get there by Christmas. It has to go from Pennsylvania to California.

Woohoo!!! Came home yesterday to find a nice big box from Canada waiting for me! Here's a photo of all the goodies I received from the awesome Arisaig! BEHOLD: Oatmeal peanut butter cookies, ketchup chips (I've been so curious to try these!), maple cookies, holly nog!!, cattle beans, blueberry jam that Arisaig made!, summer savory, various candies and chocolates, newspaper and magazine from Halifax, and a lovely card made by her friend. I don't even know where to begin with all these goodies! Thank you so much, Arisaig!! I dropped your package off tonight, so yours is on the way!

I got my package from Chickpea yesterday! Nearly everything she sent is new to me so I'm pretty excited about it. I did eat some Starburst right away, haha. Thanks Chickpea!!!

I've recently discovered that my package to Chickpea was missing one line of her address so we don't know if it will make it to her! Let this be a warning to all - ALWAYS verify your swap partner's address with them before mailing anything. :(

I hope I am doing this right - it's a long time since I posted a picture here. I received my box yesterday from pepperpot in Chicago and it was so exciting! I ate some salted chocolate almonds right away, then had some granola and gingerbread coffee for breakfast. This is so much fun.

I just got these photos off of my camera. Here is one of the items that was included in the package I received: They appear to be more or less a Dutch gingerbread cookie. Now, let's flip it over to the back and look at the (translated) ingredients: You see that 4th ingredient? Brown b.astard sugar. I'm assuming they meant to say caster sugar?

Hehe. It should be with an e, "basterd". I don't know what that translates as though. I thought basterdsuiker just meant some kind of brown sugar, but the translated ingredients specify brown basterd sugar, so... ?

It's obviously very, very brown sugar.
Regardless, I laughed so hard.

Choirqueer and I agreed to a, um, relaxed definition of "holiday" for this swap... I'm still working on my end but I got CQ's package today and it is the best ever.
It has:
Two crocheted fishie oven mitts! Coconut chocolate! A Jokerz bar... I loooove these but haven't bought one in like 2 years. Cookies! Coconut lime and peanut butter chocolate gingerbread!
And, the best thing ever: a cozy warm multi-hued crocheted wrap that, seen from a distance, looks like it has prancing kittens on it. I repeat: KITTENWRAP.
Thank you so much CQ. This package was more than worth waiting for (and I hope you'll feel the same about yours!).
