Gosh, I love everyone's nails!

Today I did Zoya Dove with some gold glitter over it. It looks cool, but all the pictures I tried to take turned out awful (bad lighting). I'm going to try again in natural light tomorrow.

I just ordered Sprog today! And Two Fingered Salute, and Thames... I have a problem. My nail polish rack is getting full... I think that's a sign.

here's butter london yummy mummy. i got it for free from a friend of a friend, like forever ago, and i've never worn it (aside from swatching it once or twice). i think i had it in my head that it wasn't my thing, but i was mistaken. i really like it! i wore it with a zoya jana pedi, and the colors really work well together. a very nice light neutral if you don't want the sparkle of all hail the queen. ;)

I got my A England order! But i'm confused: air mailing nail polish is super illegal, when I sent Jojo hers everything in the box was wrapped in another box and then in bags inside said boxes, but A England sends me polish in a lightly padded envelope and they don't get busted?

Now I want Trout Pout. So summery. Wait, maybe I just want summer.

Bluedawg - I was just thinking about Yummy Mummy last night - I might have a (very unexpected as I wasn't looking) job interview coming up and was thinking about appropriate polish choices.

Kitteh - that looks gorgeous! Trout Pout is one of my favorites. I haven't worn it in forever. I feel like I need some thinner for my bottle and forgot to order some from Zoya when I placed my last order.

Maybe in the UK it's not as big a deal (UK ladies, do you know?) and then the US posties didn't notice or didn't care once it got to the USA? Maybe they thought it was cosmetics. What did they write on the customs form?


It is summery! I don't think I needed it because I feel like Orly Pixy Stix is similar but it's such a nice colour.

It's definitely as big a deal here, I had to lie on alla the customs forms too. It's weird though because Nick always orders me a couple of polishes from the US at Xmas time & they've never been confiscated either. Weird.

I hope no one from the postal dept. ever reads this thread :D

Also, I googled wrapping nail tips for a friend who says BL always chips on her nails (I feel her pain!) and I discovered a blogger with amazingly awesome nails: The Polished Perfectionist. I love these peacock nails! And the cat and the birds, and this A England glitter over mint... basically this entire post is brilliant

ETA: I found another, Oooh, Shinies - loving her nail art. I just want to spend all day, every day looking at posts like this.

And now I am really trying to talk myself out of making my first purchase with A England, I want St George!

I'm thinking of trying white polish next time I go (Saturday), but I don't know what to get on my toes. I don't like the idea of white on my toes, but I'm not feeling anything else either. What do you guys think?

kitteh: Thanks! I'm wearing a true red on my toes now, so I was thinking something different. I like darker on my toes though, so I might do like a raspberry pink? Or maybe I'll just get the manicure. I don't overly need a pedicure, but I'm getting a haircut that day and felt like going all out.

Girls, is Urban Decay nail polish vegan? A friend in the US and I did a book swap and she'd asked me about Julep polish but I told her no and then my parcel arrived and she sent me the UD Naked set of 6 mini polish bottles. I was excited but now I see that they're not on the list in the Vegan Nail Polish Brands thread and I can't find much info online. I've just read the ingredients and nothing stands out to me as non-vegan but I'm worried they're not vegan :/

I don't know about the vegan-ness of UD polishes, but I have seen some swatches and a few of the colors look nice, Crossing my fingers for you!

I'm wearing Zoya Ki. DUDES. It is so awesome. Swatches don't do it justice at all.

So my Zoyas from the last promo came today and one of the bottles had completely shattered. The other two were fine. I'm going to email customer service and see what they say, but has anyone dealt with this before? So bummed. And of course it was the color I was most excited about.

Kelly got a bottle where the outside corner was chipped, and they sent her a new bottle! Which worked out well for me because she gave me the chipped bottle.

i once got an order where one bottle was missing. they sent it right away, no questions asked.
