ew. Water + ear = no good. Water makes the wax expand. i guess the issue is q-tips though???? im not supposed to use q-tips?????? I use them all the time, haven't had any problems in 10 years. But I never use them after I've showered, when there's water in the ear.

The q-tip thing is because you pretty much inevitably push wax up farther inside your year. I hadn't heard the water thing, but I usually q-tip with rubbing alcohol, which is probably kind of a bad idea for some reason I haven't figured out, but feels really cool and evaporates quickly.

so i get to go get my ear flushed tomorrow afternoon. i have to go get the debrox now and use it tonight.
work is going to be so happy with me. there are all the fun pregnancy dr appts then i was out for HOURS last friday getting a lump removed from my forehead, tomorrow morning ill be late cause i have to get those stitches removed then i get to leave early to go get my ear flushed.
i made it sound really bad like "oooh it could be an infection that's really bad when you're pregnant" it's only stretching the truth a little....

Add me to the list of people that really wants to have their ears irrigated. I'm so asking about this during my next physical.

I've got an "at home" kit for ear cleaning. LOVE IT, but last time I didn't get a lot and it make me vaguely sad because I was looking for monsters.

If it is wax build-up, and there's a lot of it, be prepared for how loud everything will sound after you have your ears irrigated. I had mine done last year and it was like someone had turned the world up several notches!

so it turns out my ears are totally fine. i went into the Dr to get them flushed and both the medical assistant and my dr looked in my ears and said they were spotless (go Q-tips!!!!) the Dr says i probably have some fluid buildup in the tubes of my ears and that's why i had muffled hearing. my hearing is actually much better today though still feels slightly blocked. she also said all the weirdness i experienced yesterday points to fluid in the tube rather than wax. my hearing was so weird yesterday and people talking around me was so annoying it like hurt. and music made weird noises, then in the late afternoon my equilibrium was all messed up and i felt like i was gonna fall over. then it sort of went away.
so weird.
anyways she said it may get clogged again but it will all resolve on it's own.
im chocking this one up to more pregnancy weirdness
