Oh, sweet. How long are you here? I can do Wednesday earlyish, or Thursday late-ish, or any time on the weekend!

I might call up and book today just in case. It's been pretty busy the last few times we've been, and there have only been tables for two left.

so where do people get groceries around here these days? I half-recall somewhere new opening up..? but I could be dreaming :) I'm looking for organic produce etc.
also I have some chipotle field roast sausages that I'm probably not going to get through if someone wants them?

I WILL TAKE THEM. I love Field Roast so much. Argh, excitement.
Apparently the southside farmers market has moved to CIT at Woden, I haven't been though. I just go to the one at EPIC. There's also Choku Bai Jo at Curtin and Lyneham. But I also get most stuff from Coles or Woolies on my lunch breaks because I'm disorganised and lazy.

For those of you in and around Brisbane - a lady is making INCREDIBLE FRESH TEMPEH!! She's trying to get her business started and is looking for pre-orders of tempeh etc to help get her on her feet. I've not always been a tempeh fan - the supermarket stuff is atrocious, but after having her less than 12 hour old tempeh, I'm back on the team. It was simply amazing. You can find all the details on our blog post here: http://www.jamesandmatt.com.au/2013/01/ ... empeh.html . Sorry, I know I post links to our blog a lot, but any time anything interesting and vegan happens, it goes on there!! ;)

fresh tempeh is the best. I used to get it in Melbourne at the markets
also: I forgot the field roast when I left the house. depending how bored you are, we can swing by tonight, or I can drop them off some other time

I pretty much never go out that way unless it's for work, and even then I usually end up with some kind of sad salad somewhere. The only other place I've really been there is Mecca Bah, which is way overpriced and the vegan options aren't great. I don't know how they can make falafels so bland, it's almost impressive.
I've eaten so many Joe-Joes today, I think I'm going to vibrate into the gym after work on some crazed sugar high and then crash in spectacular fashion after about ten minutes.

I ate so many Joe-Joes at work that the girl who sits in the cubicle next to me confiscated them and put them in her filing cabinet so that I wouldn't keep thinking about them. But then when she went into a meeting I went in there and got them back. So, you know, I think you also took my dignity back to the US.

Also Field Roast made the barbecue we went to suck SO MUCH LESS. They were definitely the highlight of my day.

We're definitely stocking up at Spoon's again since we just finished the last of our freezer-schnitzels the other day. I was coming here to ask the same thing. I'll be there for a week in early March. I haven't been for over a year, so I hope all of my 'regular haunts' are still around!

Hahaha, amazing. So much Nuttelex.
Also, does anyone have food recommendations for Darwin? I'm heading up there for work in a couple of weeks with a sweet government meal allowance. I'm open to just spending it on beer and BBQ Shapes or something but thought I should explore my options more fully.
