Well, Hewitt fired me on Wednesday of last week. Apparently there had been complaints that I was to much like an auditor, so they let me go. Since I am not willing to work for either H&R Block or Liberty, I guess this is the end of me doing taxes. Even though I am thinking of getting into doing it on volunter basis. I am still more than willing to give advise, so if you have any questions, feel free to send them my way. Just wanted to let you all know.

That sucks. (Free advice is awesome, but jobs are important too!)

Ugh. That really sucks, SB. I'd think acting like an auditor would be good since it'd help prevent people from being audited. I hope you find something else you like soon!

Sorry to hear that, I have thought a few times about getting into taxes on the side but I haven't pursued it as of yet.

what about bookkeeping? admittedly I don't know much about it, but it seem like something where you could pick up a few clients and do part time. thanks for the generous offer of advice!

To me, being like an auditor would be preferable to those people who are like "Yeaaahhh! MAXIMUM REFUNNNDDD!!" when that sometimes involves kinda fudging the system, meaning that you'll get to deal with a real auditor from the IRS in the future! Speaking of which, maybe you could work for the IRS?? Take those comments from your previous employer as an endorsement? Heh.

I am so sorry dude. That is really rough. I was unemployed and got a job far below my experience level for a year just to, you know, eat food. It has seriously paid off in my current career and I am glad I did it.
Jobs are seriously hard to get these days. I do believe any working is better than no working. You can do it. It's going to be ok.
