i just looked through this whole thread for inspiration! i think i'm going to try and see if i can cobble together a whole blanket from all my granny squares. eek!

I've started and finished two sweaters already this year, and just finished a third, that's been languishing on needles for three years!

they have a knit version, too, but i think the crochet version is a lot nicer looking. the purl bee has lots of small, cute projects that might be fun.

for IJDI: I am in love with these scrubbies, for a quick crochet. Mama Kim gets them from her mom and they work so well. They're made out of craft toile!

ooh, those are great! I would love to give someone cotton washcloths and scrubbies as a gift. perfect!

This weekend I ended up taking my stack of granny squares that I thought I'd never get to and sewing them together and weaving in all the ends. Now I have a mini blanket, but since it came out looking better than expected, I want to actually finish it!

These are awesome! I have a bunch of nylon netting from citrus bags. Do you think that would work if I cut it into strips?

Yes! I put them in the brown sweater, too. They're not part of the pattern, I just added a large one row buttonhole where I wanted the hole on each sleeve.

And yes, I think that meshy stuff would work, if you could get the strands long enough.

I've made 2 tiny white Totoros by now, thinking I might give the second one to a friend... But they look so lovely together on my new bookshelf that I haven't managed to separate them yet. Guess I'll have to make a third one if I want to give one away... ;)
