I have changed from the spork going >.< to the spork going O.o
The spork will probably go O.o until all settled in and used to the new boards. I am open to other spork facial expressions. I have happy spork, sad spork, spork who is up to no good, winking spork, surprised spork...
I like the idea of keeping the spork a while (for recognition purposes, no that anyone knows me...) and just changing the facial expression occasionally, but I'm not married to it. I also have an actual picture of my actual face, pictures of my brother's dogs, or an avatar-ed version of the picture of 7-year-old me eating ice cream from the old You Shouldn't Be In Pictures thread.

appifanie wrote: Size your avatar here! http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/ I couldn't get my software to do it so I went there, entered my pic, plugged in 100x140 and tada! Perfect. I had a problem in Paint Shop Pro getting my avatars resized. PSP would tell me it was under 100x140 yet when I tried to upload the board kept telling me it was way too big. Eventually I chose a different graphic, one I use on another message board, and had to shrink it way below 100x140 before it took, down to 93x94.

Plus I would be super sad if you changed your avatar, Mihl. I have no idea what it is, but it looks like a nice german child's book and it gives me the warm fuzzies. The joker does not achieve warm fuzzies.

The Joker never died. The camera even turns around so that he's flying upwards instead of hanging down. ETA: I didn't mean to be horrible. If I was, I apologize. I don't know how to put this differently. There are a couple of things you don't know about me. (and your post really hurt.) Another edit: I'm still trying to rephrase this, but I can't. I had that avatar because I really love him. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Agh sorry I did not mean that to hurt in any way - was purely a joke. Another case of "tone of voice is really really important". Forgive and forget? :)

voiceofraisin wrote: OK, everyone. I've changed my avatar from Howard Moon (of The Mighty Boosh) to a rather awesome tweedy Irish dude. But I had been considering using this quite spectacular panel from the classic comic strip Mark Trail (I'm sure there are many fans here). I happen to subscribe to the amazing blog The Comics Curmudgeon ( http://joshreads.com/), which basically just rags on all sorts of daily comics (I found it circuitously through a recommendation of a blog by a disembodied voice who goes by the name of FootFace). Anyhoo, here's the setup. Mark Trail (virtuous backwoods ranger humanitarian dude with a square jaw) has discovered that one of his woodsy neighbors, an ambitious jerk named Frank, is planning to launch his political career by purchasing "semi-tame" animals from a game park, erecting a huge chain-link fence out in his backwoods property, and inviting movers and shakers from the political establishment (including several senators!) to just blast away at the poor things. Well, it turns out that Frank's stepdaughter is a nice little girl whose name I forget, and she happens to have a pet deer, and also thought it was kind of awesome when her evil stepfather (she doesn't know he's evil, but he is) brought all these semi-pettable animals into this nice big cage enclosure in the woods. Well, one thing leads to another, the pet deer makes his/her way onto the range, firearms are drawn, the senator takes a bead, and guess what? You'll never guess. OK, you guessed it. The little girl runs out into the hunting arena and says (wait for it.....) How awesome is it? I'm hoping for a vegan feeding frenzy here. Who wants it? PS That's not even to mention Mary Worth upping her meddling quotient when she's helping Adrian buy a wedding dress, not to speak of the mayor's prostate cancer on Rex Morgan, MD. Who's with me? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone? VoR, this masterful post has gone unrecognized! I LOVE IT. I am right there with you on the mayor's prostate cancer... do you think his wife was the leak?? signed, kindred spirit
