My boyfriend is out of town right now, which isn't as entertaining as having him around (he goes into panic mode whenever there's a big storm). I did my normal grocery shopping yesterday, which means I have plenty of beans and TP to eat and poop out the storm. Just now I ate some cookies and later I might watch some soap operas. If the power goes out, I will read books with my book light. BRING IT ON, SNOWMAGEDDON.

i'm going to brave supermarket after work to do my weekend grocery shopping early.
i'm half tempted to delay shopping and making do just to avoid the hoards of people who are stockpiling.

Do you have a battery-powered radio at the very least? Or an mp3 player with built-in FM? I always make sure I have one, because worst-case I can listen to shitty local radio if the power goes out. I also keep a tiny LED flashlight in purse. My friends make fun of me for being overprepared for everything, go figure.

no radio although i do have a mini flashlight and a kindle paperwhite.
i didn't think this storm would amount to anything but it took me 3.5 hrs to grocery shop and commute home from manhattan to queens.
