I'm planning on making dinner to save money. Planning apple pie and maybe lasgana. I've been wating to try out the vegan deviled egg recipe so if I can find black salt I will probably make that... but ordering pizza sounds fun too!

We're going out for fancy-ish dinner on the 21st (and we were considering going to Glasgow, but we might not because I'm going the weekend after for the chip crawl), and I always make dinner, so it wouldn't really be that special if I cooked (and I really can't be arsed coming up with something schmancy on a Thursday). That actually sounds super romantic and fun to me!

I was thinking of making heartshaped handpies filled with beets and lentils, so they ooze red. My partner finds this unromantic

I just got started on my V-day preparations: I made a double batch of this Vegan GF Flourless Cake so I can take a small cake to share at work. Always trying to show people how delicious veganism is! :) And, for the main meal, my gf and I will be having a simple green salad and Chickpea Crepes with Herbed Mushrooms. She'll be making the crepes since I just don't seem to have the patience for that crepe. Happy Valentine's to all!

Since my roommate is allergic to chocolate, I'm doing both vanilla cupcakes and chocolate cupcakes with gummy hearts, either red or white frosting (depending on the cupcake) and a piece of raspberry chocolate for those of us who aren't allergic to chocolate.
No idea what my sweetie and I are doing, other than that. Exchanging cards, basically. He works late on Thursdays, so I may go and visit him when I'm off work.

I have just made a batch of Isa's PB cupcakes for Hubs, who is obsessed with all things peanut buttery. From tasting the batter I thought it was a little heavy on the molasses, but they are the best damn cupcakes. Amazingly light, moist cake with a crispy top. Better than any omni version I've made, which are all damn heavy when PB is involved. I don't think the dozen will make it through the day...
