Last night was our big company party, at a fancy-pants country club.
Everyone was feasting on delicious food.
I got a salad with no dressing and a giant piece of grilled cauliflower. Now, I have a hangover since I didn't eat. Blah.

It's not really a peeve but it does surprise me that people think I'm an animal lover just because I'm vegan, because I'm really not. I don't even look at kittens on the Internet. I've actually had people ask me, "If you hate animals so much, then why don't you want to eat them?" My usual response to this nonsense is, "Well, I don't particularly like you, but that doesn't mean that I want to eat you."

Ok so there's a bunny basket, a kitty basket, a peeeeg basket, a squirrel basket, baby moose basket, puppy basket, ducky basket.
I'm going to buy stock in wicker.
I think we also need a red panda basket, a piglet basket, an otter basket, and maybe one full of those dwarf hamsters.

my basket is overflowing with chinchillas. SO SOFT. i also have a pile of pygmy marmosets and a box of eight-week-old french bulldog puppies, but i'm not sticking my face in there, because that would be crazy.

I saw the kiwi turtle, it was so well done but mostly just reminded me that kiwis make my mouth and throat burn like crazy. Also, platypus basket added to list. No spiny echidna baskets though, since we ought not be jamming our faces in baskets of pointy.

Those who claim that vegans don't eat mushrooms because "mushrooms are not plants" or "mushrooms are saprophytes, ewww!".
