Asda chocolate thins (mint and orange) are back for Chrimbo. Also Asda own brand fruit jelly sweets.

Tesco's everyday value bourbon creme biscuits. They are just too nice. The best part is that it is a huge packet. The worst part is I can't control myself and they barely last 2 days.

I think I have found accidentally vegan ready-made scones. The brand is Fords The Bakers and I've found them in Scotmid and Co-op in packs of two good-sized scones. (Fords also make bran scones which are not vegan- they had milk or whey in.) The ingredients for the plain ones are: wheat flour, water, sugar, shortening (vegetable oil &fats), raising agents (E500, E450 (a), E541, dextrose, maize starch, salt, emulsifier (E481), soya flour, stabiliser (E466). Allergens: Contains Gluten, Soya The ingredients for the fruit ones are the same with the addition of sultanas or raisins (can't remember which but I checked and that was the only difference.) BUT on looking up the E-numbers, I saw: http://www.food-info.net/uk/e/e481.htm wrote: E 481: Sodium stearoyl lactate Origin: Combination of stearic acid and lactic acid, resulting in a mixture of several components. The origin of stearic acid can be or plant or animal fat, although in practice nearly always vegetable oil will be used. [...] Dietary restrictions: Although mainly vegetable oils are used, the use of animal fat (incl. pork) can not be excluded. Several groups, such as vegans, Muslims and Jews thus avoid these products. Only the producer can give detailed information on the origin of the fatty acids. Chemically the fatty acids from vegetable or animal origin are identical. So some people might not count them as vegan. Also, something called Raspberry Crumble, brand BOBBY'S. It is a layer of pastry, a layer of jam and an oaty crumble layer in an 80g bar (about the size of a large flapjack). Very, very sweet, but nice and more food-like than a Fry's Peppermint Cream in a pinch. I found this in a little corner shop.

I went in Iceland today and found 2 products which appear to be vegan - They're from the Greggs range and there are apple turnovers and also Morello cherry lattice thingies. So some sweet pastry things.

Also -Question!
Are some Betty Crocker baking things vegan? I read the devils food cake mix, and several different kinds of the canned frosting and saw no ingredients that stood out as non vegan to me. Me and my friend ended up buying it and making an awesome cake out of it... but now I am not so sure.

AFAIK, the things without really obvious non-vegan things should be OK. I've definitely bought some Betty Crocker stuff, and I know the cream cheese frosting is safe.

Did anyone ever mention Jacob's fig rolls? I just checked them today (I don't even know why), and they appear to be vegan.

Yeah, they are a weird biscuit. They verge on healthy with the fig malarky and, lately, I am just not that type of vegan.
Tesco strawberry jelly pot. Flipping yum. I had it as a midnight snack last night.

Wait what really? Croissants...pain au chocolat!? I was just talking with my brother yesterday about missing croissants. We decided it was too much hassle to make from scratch (he's done it before).
ASDA plain chocolate drops appear to be vegan. They do say Not Suitable for Milk Allergy Sufferers but the ingredients (Cocoa Mass , Sugar , Cocoa Butter , Fat Reduced Cocoa Powder , Emulsifier (Soya Lecithins) , Dark Chocolate contains: Cocoa Solids 50% Minimum .) appear to be fine, right?

You must not have because this is the first I've heard of it, and I'd definitely remember that. I need to see if I can find that.
