The coral color is pretty, but I don't like the detailing on the second--too stark. It's lovely in blue though. I'm in love with this one now: http://www.tracyreese.com/plenty/clothi ... color=JadeWhat kind of look do you want? The second is a lot more festive than the first. I wore a black and white dress similar to the first to my graduation and it felt too ordinary and not special enough. On the other hand, it is a pretty dress you could wear anywhere and everywhere.

The second dress is pretty but I'd have trouble wearing it during day to day life because it seems a bit fancier. I completely adore the first one! So pretty.
LW the Y dress is pretty fun, too. Doubt it would look nearly as good on me as on the model.

I was actually leaning toward the second one in blue; I think I could probably get away with wearing it to holiday or new years parties.
Half of me thinks I should be practical and get something I could conceivably wear in my everyday life, and the other half just wants sparkles.

Oh I can see the second one better (I was on my phone before) and I didn't realize it has silver sparkly things! Totally get it and wear it and we want pics :)

Oh I missed that you're looking for a grad dress! YES! SPECIAL SPARKLES.

Also, I bet that if you really liked that dress and got tired of the sparkles, it would be a cheap fix to have a tailor swap the trim.
It might also be cute in fall/winter with a black turtleneck, tights, and boots.

shiitake, I looked at Ruche again. Sailboats! Ballerina! Grandma clothes! (I always love grandma cloths) So pretty. Polka dots are kind of becoming my signature look. Admittedly my recent foray back into ballet has made me want all the soft ballerina looks. Okay that's enough for now!

I seem to have the hardest time finding dresses with sleeves (preferably elbow or 3/4). Almost all the dresses that are out now are sleeveless. I realize the spring/summer stuff is out now but even a few months ago, it seemed like everything was for bare arms. My office is COLD and I don't want to wear a cardi every single day. I need sleeves, damn it

Those are all super cute, vijita! I love the sailboat one a lot.
Hoodwinked: Yeah, it does really seem like most dresses are sleeveless, unless you go the wrap dress or shirt dress route. Would something like that work?

Vijita, that polka dot one is awesome. I've been looking for a teal dress for a while and came across this one: I can try it on in-store, so I think I might get one! First clothing purchase since I was pregnant - it feels like everything I own is stretched out or the wrong shape, so I'm working on replacing all the non-functioning pieces of my wardrobe. Woop! I need sleeves, damn it I feel the same way. I haven't found many that I like that have sleeves, so I'm just promising myself I'll get a really amazing sweater for when it's too cold (all the time, haha!).

Hoodwinked, I don't know what your style is like, but most of my dresses with sleeves come from Talbots (Talbots is much less dowdy than it used to be--I get lots of compliments when I wear their dresses).

There's an idea....they have an outlet store near me that I haven't been to in a while. I will check them out. Thanks for the suggestions

I have new dresses! I'll have to get pics. One is this awesome grey cotton thing that was the perfect length on me (tough because i'm 5') and was $15 at TJ Maxx. The other 2 are from that designer who had stuff at Target a month or so back. Hmm. Name forgotten, too lazy to look now.

I have a prom-themed birthday party this weekend, so I bought this dress. I'm only 5'5", so it nearly hits the floor. I'm wearing it with wedges, so shouldn't be a problem. It's lovely.
