I have a whole bunch of beautiful broccoli and I'd like to do something with it that gives it the respect it deserves. It occurs to me that broccoli is one of those vegetables that always winds up being incorporated in some other, larger dish...I want to bust down the walls of this paradigm people! Suggestions: I wants 'em.

This isn't outstanding or anything but I love broccoli with lemon juice, salt and pepper. I usually put broccoli in with my pasta all of the time.

One of my favorite easy meals is tons of sauteed (but still crisp) broccoli (or any crunchy green veggie) tossed with a little linguini, some olive oil, toasted almonds, bread crumbs, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

Love to make broccoli salad by pulsing it in a food processor, then using a simple lemon juice tahini dressing.

me too. roasted with olive oil and garlic, and tossed with pasta, toasted pine nuts, and nooch.

i also like the chickpea broccoli casserole from VWAV, dressed up with more spice.

(it's strange--i eat broccoli almost every day, but i can think of very few if any showstopper meals made with it. it's more like stir fry, put atop some kind of grain, and cover in delicious sauce. repeat.

Toss it with olive oil, garlic, and nooch and roast it! The nooch gets all nestled in there and it's good.

I think there's an orange-scented broccoli in AfR that I keep meaning to make. And it sounds delicious!

The orange scented broccoli in AFR is really good. Sbudsky's recipe sounds pretty amazing too.

I love the broccoli cooking method from the Miso Udon Stir Fry with Beans & Greens recipe in AFR. I cook my broccoli like that most of the time now, I sometimes just make a big plate of that broc & sprinkle it with toasted sesame seeds. Yum!

Roasted with olive oil, black pepper, red chili flakes, garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Maybe that doesn't sound interesting but it is my favourite.

this is a two-step thing if i can't get fresh noodles but it is awesome and a perfect tribute to beautiful broccoli:
a pad se euw recipe from Buddha's Table (wide noodles with sweet soy sauce, p 122, if you can see inside)-
you fry the noodles in garlic and sweet soy sauce
then cook the broccoli in a soy/oyster sauce mix, really quick, both in a super-hot wok.
it is absolutely heavenly. i can't find the recipe online anywhere but if anyone wants it i can post it later.

This is my favorite (the "new ingredient" should be sambar powder). I can't find that particular recipe online right now, but searching for "Broccoli Kootu" should give you something similar.

I almost always eat broccoli in the Rotelle with Spicy tempeh and broccoli rabe from Vcon, using broccoli instead of the rabe and millet instead of the pasta.
Soooo delicious!

This might sound odd but I love broccoli on pizza. I usually throw it on raw but the best is roasted broccoli. I try and roast a bunch and use it for pizza - we eat pizza every Friday in our house.

Oh! The AFR 40-clove broccoli with chickpeas. That's a great one! I add extra lemon, and some red chili flakes because broccoli and red pepper flakes/lemon love each other.

A deli here makes a vegan broccoli salad that is yumsters. It's just lightly steamed and chilled broccoli with arame, diced hot peppers, tamari, rice vinegar, and maybe a tiny bit of sweetener.

Broccoli with pine nuts and sundried tomato garlic and oil, over pasta.
