I've done that here and it's so satisfying!

I've not done it with shelter dogs but I've done lots of rescue transport. It's such a small thing that we can do that can be such a big part of the process and getting them where they need to go :)

Cleaned my ENTIRE APARTMENT with vacuum and then swiffer and it is still not perfectly clean, but it is very nearly so and clean enough that most of the dust is gone.

And picked up all the crepe off the floor so now I can stop stressing about the clutter and start stressing about school work and not have to stress about both at once. Yay being functional adult.

10g pincher-y guy. Surgical steel for now, I plan to go gold soon, and maybe do an all around ring dealio. Also I'd love to eventually stretch it and stick multiple rings in there.

I got motherforking 95% on an exam. I peed a little.

I won something! I won a copy of Fit Quickies by Lani Muelrath through a contest on the Plany Based Dietician's website. I need to get back working out and I think smaller concentrated workouts are the way for me to do it because of my pain and fatigue issues and I really can't afford to go somewhere anymore.

Afternoon dance party in the living room.

My BFF/Roomie is usually really not into sci fi and nerdy shiitake, but we need a new TV show to watch and I convinced her to try out Battlestar Gallactica and she really got into it! She loved the suspense of it. Woot it's one of the only nerdy shows I've managed to only watch once, so I'm excited to watch it again, especially with someone new to it!

Paluck tofu for breakfast. Nom.

My new laptop charger got here! It cost a pretty penny, but the old one bit the dust on Wednesday morning and I've been borrowing one in short bursts for most of a week, and my laptop's a dinosaur so a charge doesn't last too long.

I just noticed that something I wrote has been sigged. Naturally it concerns farting.

A student brought her great dane into the library to say hello! He was 150lbs of cuteness. Best part of my work day, for sure.

A paper I've been working on for a long time was accepted for publication today! I have some revisions to work through, which will be painful, but I'll get through them. I just want this thing out of my hair!

I am off work for a week (it's half-term here) so I am still in bed at 9 am, working on my second cup of coffee. I'm hoping this is going to be just the first best thing today.

Curry for breakfast, followed by a sunny bike ride around the lake which ended just before the storm blew in.

Paella for lunch, which contained SEITAN!!! It was really yummy.
To top it off, the menu said: vegetarian paella with lots of veggies and seitan (siken tofu). Ahm, no, guys, silken tofu and seitan are two completely different things.
