all three of my guinea pigs seem to have a "birthday" recently. i actually have no idea when any of them were born but 2 i have a rough idea. my oldest pig and also the 2nd guinea pig i ever got, Pixie, turned 6 last month. 6 is REALLY old for a guinea pig but she doesnt seem old at all. i was told she was probably a year when i got her. soooo i dunno if shes actually 6 but probably around there. here she is with a Halloween bandana  next up is Penny, the monster brat, she just turned 5 "yesterday." when i got her based on her size she was 6-8 weeks old and i got her in April 2008 so hence i gave her a birthday of yesterday. Penny was the 3rd guinea pig i adopted  lastly is Pelly, the rooster pig (named so for her rooster tail). she is my "baby" pig. i think she will be around 2 tomorrow. the rescue i got her from said she was born in February. she is just a mini pig that is mostly fur and crazy hair. she weighs less than 2 lbs!  and just for fun here is a picture of Pixie and Penny snuggled up together. they are the longest cohabitating pigs ive ever had (unless you count the 2 seniors i had adopted who had been together for 5 years with a previous family)  happy birfday to all my pig-pigs! <3

D'awwwww happy pig birthdays.
Pixie and Penny look a lot like my original two pigs, Pingpong and Mister B, in that last picture, and it made me nostalgic. Gotta go hug my remaining pig.

I keep going back to look at these pictures. I really miss having guinea pigs! I love that they are basically fuzzy potatoes with feet.

In my family, we always say "fuzzy eggplants!" I love them so much too though. I keep coming back to this thread just to admire these sweet pigs.

today is Pelly's 2nd birfday so maybe i can get some cute pics of her later.
8ball they are anxiously awaiting their field of lettuce delivery and cant wait to poop in it while eating away!

ok here are more pig pigtures! <3 the three above are my current herd. here are some of my past pig pigs. here is Punky my very first guinea pig. i got her when we were trying to sell our condo cause it was taking forever and i was depressed and i wanted a house and a dog. Punky was the orneriest piggie ever. i loved her so much  like a boss  still like a boss  i adopted 2 senior pigs at one point. they were named Oreo and Smores. Oreo is the big fat giant blob in the front. Smores is the small pig in the hay rack. She was so tiny and i tried to bulk her up but she died very quietly of old age two months after i adopted them  Oreo was pretty much the bestest pig ever and i had her for several more years. she is the pig in my avatar. by the time i had to put her to sleep she was probably 8 or 9 which is basically ancient for a guinea pig. she had a buttload of health problems that she soldiered through.  she developed a huge tumor on her neck. everytime we took a sample out of it it was a benign fatty lipoma. it just kept growing. i think it turned malignant at the end but we'll never know   i tried to make her a lump sling. it didnt work   after Smores passed i adopted another pig that i named Pepper. she had had 4 babies in the shelter and one of my mom's friends actually has 2 of her babies.

guinea pigs are the bestest pets
i was just thinking the other night if they actually could be litter trained (haha yeah right) they would be far superior to all other pets.
my biggest "problem" with them ( i use the term lightly) is that their cage is always covered in pee and poo!
