I love all bread. ALL BREAD. I love bread so much.
I like buying a loaf in the supermarket and then walking round sniffing it til I get to the till.
I wish I had tiger bread right now. With loads of chocolate spread and peanut butter on. fork yeah.

I bake sourdough whole weat bread all the time, my starter has been with me since 2008 and apart from a little issue two weeks ago, it's still working fine. The last loaf I baked was the result of re-activating the starter over two weeks because it didn't look very alive, with the result that the loaf tastes so much like yeast it's almost cheesy. No jam on that, only cashew ricotta or hummus. I want to experiment more with breads though! I tried the green monster bread and that came out perfectly so now I want to make carrot bread and beet bread and other colorful breads.
What I would really like to know is how to make baguettes. I love baguettes and I love smelling them right out of the bakery, but I don't know how to make them!

I have a basic baggette recipe on my blog, Its not shaped as beutifully as traditional bagettes though due to my incompetence, I also have a quick carrot and oat bread on my blog but I want to try one thats made with grated carrots and my one is made with just the juice, I love the sweet taste of carrot bread, lovely straight out of the oven with vegan spread melting into it, mmmmmmm!

I like garlicky, salty, herbed, olive oiled focaccia.
And pretty much all flat breads: naan, roti, dosa, pita, etc.
I am not too much in to loafs these days, which is weird. I went through a loaf-baking phase for awhile when I had a bread machine but then I broke it making seitan and haven't bothered since because I'm shiitake at kneading. But I do like sourdough.
Oh! And bagels.

I think I've tried baking less than ten times in my life, two of those times it was bagels and they were SO GOOD!

I love bread too. Crispy, warm bread! Aww... As soon as the crust goes soft, though, I'm meh.

Bread is the best. I have been making a no kneed sandwich loaf for most of the winter because it is easy to schedule into my days. I altered that loaf to make rasin-ginger spice loaves for Christmas presents. They were beautiful and well received.
I might need to do some serious bread baking this weekend.

For me bread is pretty much a delivery system and seeing as how I make all of my own I am always looking to simplify (even though I am making my own sourdough cultures right now......). I run dough of any kind through the pasta roller then cut it into squares then freeze on a cookiesheet in the oven and keep them in freezer bags. Whenever I want one I grab it out of the freezer and flip it a few times in a frying pan and in short order I have a single serving wrap. These slices make awesome single serving pizzas too (cracker like crust). I always have dough in the fridge too.
This weekend I'll make some sourdough bread, maybe some shourdough crakers too seeing as I'll need something for the hummus that is currently fermenting away in the incubator.

There's this star bread one Italian bakery by me makes, it's like the ends of an Italian bread arranged together in a circle. I love the ends of bread, I like crusts. I should figure out how to make that!!!

BREAD BREAD BREAD BREAD BREAD BREAD BREAD!!!!!!!!
I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
Really, it is crazy. I love bread in all forms. Hearty, sour, whole grain, tortillas, bagels, rolls, sandwich bread, homemade bread... the whole shebang! It is my number one food.
I especially love dark european-style rye/pumpernickle breads full of seeds and moisture. And I love farmy loaves with thick crusty outsides and soft, sour, chewy insides. And I love toast the most. Three cheers for the bread thread.

I love crusty breads especially (like baguettes) and bagels. I really like most breads but not a huge fan of sweet breads, although I can make an exception for some yummy swirly cinnamon bread or like that.
