Yummm, it makes such a fantastic dressing! With lots of romaine and cucumbers and tomatoes and beans!

I finally made this yesterday, with Frank's chili lime. Awesome! But really hot in bigger quantities, maybe the chili lime is hotter than regular Frank's? Might try to cut the hotness with some ketchup.

After reading this thread I made a big batch of this yesterday to use as salad dressing - delicious!

I put it on baked potatoes and on some leftover fritatta. I want to make the smoky black eyed peas from the original recipe again, though.

Today I had it as a dip for carrots, such a good combination! Not much left now, gotta make more.

I'm trying it today with baked sweet potatoes and steamed greens. I'm so excited!

I use Crystal instead of Frank's, but I think they're about the same. Also, I grate the garlic on a microplane, then whisk it all together with a fork... no blender needed!

The other day I finished a big batch of bean and sweet potato burritos, which were really good on their own, but magical when dipped in red hot tahini. And as a side I had avocado that I also dipped in the sauce. Also had pineapple salsa available, but the red hot tahini was really all I needed.

Okay, I put my finger on it: The taste is slightly reminiscent of that spicy mayo that's all over most sushi. The sesame & spiciness is exactly what makes spicy tuna roll so addicting! Somebody make me a fake sushi with this stuff pronto!

I am almost out of both Frank's and tahini because the last time I made this, I made a double batch (worth it!), so I just made a tiny batch to go on a black bean burger and it totally worked and now I am happy.

Just bumping to say that I made this yesterday, but used only 1/4 cup of tahini, a little extra nooch, and half a block of extra firm silken tofu. My thought was to make more of it, without using up all my tahini, plus to add protein without adding a lot of extra fat. It turned out really well! It made at least twice as much as a single batch, and tastes exactly the same. Just throwing that out there to anyone who might want to try it!

Oooh, good idea! I'll keep that in mind next time I have some silken tofu to use up!

I'm out of hot sauce but I really want to make this tonight. I'm thinking of trying a version with sriracha combined with lime juice in place of the Franks and see how it turns out. Will report back.

The verdict: Not bad! I did about 50:50 sriracha and lime juice for the Frank's portion and it gave it a nice sweet/tart tinge. I might do this again even when I've got Frank's.

I subbed sriracha and even decreased it and it was way too spicy for me. Gah!

I tried this tonight. I didn't LOVE it, but it's not bad. I think it's the tahini that I'm not crazy about. I may try allularpunk's tofu variation.

The tofu definitely tones down the tahini flavor, which is not what I wanted, but it could be just the thing for you!

I just made this for the first time, and I'm crushing. I did have to add a little water to get my old Magic Bullet to get into action, which made it a little bland, so I just added some more hot sauce (I used Red Devil because it was half the price as Frank's) and it's addictive! I'm going to serve it with a Southern-inspired dinner tonight.
