Managed to stand on the scale without fear of falling off this morning. 132.5lb. Not bad considering I due my monthlies on Sunday and I've only been on one walk a day this week thanks to being ill. Hopefully next week I will have an actual loss.

Yeah, I made brownies yesterday. My blood pressure crashed after the benedryl for the allergic reaction to iron wore off and Inad the shakes and was dizzy. Brownies seemed called for. Took me a couple of hours to bake them with all the stopping and sitting down so I feel I earned them.

Anyone k phone if brownies freeze well?

The last couple days have been a bit rougher for me eating-wise. Usually I'm pretty good at staying at or near my calorie goal, but a couple friends from out of town visited unexpectedly so there were some beers consumed, which pretty much obliterated my limit. Last night I also made a huge amount of food for them and didn't really measure my portions carefully, so I don't really know how much I had. The types of foods I made were all pretty low-fat, so it couldn't have been horrible or anything, but I'm sure I was well over my limit.

I am also PMSing, which surprisingly isn't making me want to eat a bunch of food this month, but is making me waaaaaaaaaay bloated.

How is it that we are all PMS'ing?!

Lavawitch--I've frozen brownies and they were just fine. Sorry you weren't feeling well! Brownies do seem to have been called for.

Linanil, I'm going to the PO in the morning to send some paperwork. If you want some (Kahlua almond and Cointreau pecan), send me a message! I can figure out calories fom the recipe if you need to know.

Something not quite right about setting up brownie drops in a weight loss thread. Except for them leaving my house.

I'm sure brownies can be part of a balanced diet :)

Oh sure. But that's best tested by buying one from a bakery. Not baking two batches because you have to use up the tofu.

Brownies are definitely called for in a balanced diet! I'm sure they will freeze fine.

Turns out my period decided to arrive 2 days early. That's pretty fantastic that my weight stayed nearly the same as last week. Very proud.

Its kind of creepy that we're all perioding at the same time. Mine was a week early.

I wish I knew more about weight patterns around one's period. I'm at 138 (down from 178 when I was pregnant) (I am 4'11" so I was pretty near spherical)), and I would just like to be able to lose 13lbs to feel comfortable again, and ideally 20. I think that is a pretty reasonable goal.

Yeah, 13 is about what I'd like to be completely comfortable too. I'm around 145 and 130ish is good for me. I'm 5'7 so according to the charts, I could be higher, but I think 130 is my natural, happy weight. It was really weird to learn that I actually have a small build after all the years of being fat. Who knew.

Once the iron treatments work and I get into the water aerobics, that should help, I hope.

I think when females get to know each other really well their periods start syncing. Maybe that's it?!

Oh my... I am also on my period. No more PMS, THANK THE VEGAN GODS, but that is so weird that we're all on our periods now. (Well, not all, but a lot)

I just finished mine, so count me out please. That was a weirdo early one too and made me loose blood I didn't have to lose; been dizzy to the point of seeing black spots ever since. If I had another, pretty sure I'd curl up and die.

Maybe if I'd been actively participating in this thread my period would have come on schedule (tomorrow-ish) instead of on frickin' day 18. Thanks a lot body, just what I've been dying for, a 17 day cycle. Not the only reason I should be back here. I haven't gained any size since I hit my goal way back when (a couple of pounds because I've put on muscle) but neither have I lost the rest of what I want to lose. I'm just so hungry all the time. My caloric allowance has got to be pretty high, but I need to get the mindless snacking at work under control. I just sort of thought I'd automatically drop some weight marathon training, but I didn't.

Well to be fair, I don't have my period yet. It's due Monday but judging from how I feel right now it may come a little early. I don't know about the whole cycling together thing... some people swear it's true, but when I had a female roommate we didn't cycle together. I think my boyfriend gets sympathy PMS though. That's a thing, right?

Maybe you feel hungry because you might not eat what your body needs for the training you do?
Either more carbs or more protein?

I am losing weight almost only by exercise and cutting out alcohol.
(over 20 pounds in 9 months and I want to lose another 10-20 pounds)

Hey, if they can get sympathy pregnancy symptoms then I'm sure there is sympathy PMS too!

Ate all kinds of garbage today and am going to be over again, though probably not as bad as yesterday. But still. This is why I don't bake brownies! Because then I don't eat them!
