I got a job interview (for tomorrow!!)! If I get the job, I can move back to my home town, which I've been trying to do for the last couple of months. I CAN'T WAIT to live in the same city as my mom again!

Also, today was all stormy and thundery, which is my absolute favorite weather. Such a great day!

I made my own kimchi yesterday, which turned out great. I made some extra jars to give to friends, so I know I will make the girl I work with real happy in a bit. Also: breakfast sandwiches with hummus and kimchi and a giant mug of proper English tea.

I love making my own kimchi! Are you fermenting it or quick pickle? I've done fermented before and I love it. That was pregan though, what do you use in place of fish sauce?

Sunshine woods-ventures, followed by amazing salad, pancakes topped with coconut milk ice cream (wow!) and my neighbor rocking out as if it were 1988. Not sure if the sun or her clothes are more bright. It's pretty awesome.

My friends had a baby! Although I have not met the baby in person, I suspect it is an excellent baby.

Beautiful sunny afternoon here in Chicago! My sweetie and I turned over two of the garden beds and pulled up a bunch of dried up stuff from last year, and picked up a ton of garbage that blows into the yard, and I planted a bunch of collards, spinach, mache, mustard greens, and maybe some other green thing while he turned the compost. so lovely!

It's the Fast Lane Kimchi recipe from Vegan Eats World. The ingredients - asides from the vegetables - are rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, gochugaru, roasted sesame seeds and agave nectar.

My replacement misappropriated-by-my-ex-landlady rice and cornmeal arrived today, as did my copy of Gluten Free and Vegan Bread and my luchador masks! I've spent the evening sketching a design so I can be Santa Muerte (The Sylvia Ji painting.) without having to spend an hour doing my makeup.

i got approved for a amazon credit card - i know bad. i feel guilty - however next month with the first bill i will be able to pay the whole amount off! i needed to buy some awesome bday gifts for the boyfriend & since Mar's vet bill and new diet kinda put a funk in my bank account I do not want to stress.

can i justify no stress with a credit card? is it like no stress > stress? i have enough to worry about. i know gifts are like a first world problem but when it comes to gifts i really like spoiling him (he does the same for me)...it makes up for a crappy family.

I got the job I interviewed for! I'll start there on the 27th, so I have just under 3 weeks to pack everything I own and move 7 hours away (back to many of the people I love the most in the world). I am SO stinking excited!

I managed to erupt the blackhead on my nose that's been there for like two months. Right in the centre of my nose, too, like the divining Gods couldn't have put a blemish any more central on my nose than this and when I crossed my eyes, I could see the damn thing, it was HAUNTING ME. People, you don't know. It's the last thing I saw when going to sleep at night, the first thing I saw when waking up in the morning. So anyway, after scraping at it in frustration a couple of days ago to just disturb the covering skin and get it to erupt, it finally did and removing the white little core of it yesterday was SO SATISFYING. You don't know. And now I have a pinpoint blood spot on my nose where the blackhead was, but believe me, I'm better off. RIP, you tricky mustard. And don't come back.
