I've been missing home lately and wanted to do a Thanksgiving to make my mom proud. I overcooked and we'll have leftovers forever, but it was goood.

all the food

Appetizers: deviled tofu, pickled okra, olives
Main: Vegetarian Plus turkey, cornbread stuffing, cranberry sauce, smashed potatoes w/ mushroom cashew gravy, smoky collards, maque choux, mac n cheeze, rolls, salad
Desserts: triple apple cider bundt cake and pumpkin cheesecake pie

The recipe is here. Just be sure to add a decent pinch of salt because the water/vinegar solution lessens it's impact. You basically want slightly salted tofu because this is all about the spread.

This makes me wish we had Thanksgiving here, just so I had a good excuse to eat myself sick.

Wow! Everything looks amazing. My extended family is from the South and I love Southern themed food, so the minute I saw the title of your thread, I clicked on it instantly! How was that turkey? I had a to take a double-take because I thought it was real!

I did a review on my blog and, basically, it wasn't worth it. The gravy was the consistency of pudding. The dressing was gummy. And the roast texture was too stringy for me. Plus, it was totally weird to stuff a vegan turkey. Ha ha.

Hats off Mo, that is seriously insanely awesome. And the "turkey" looks freakishly real. I'd buy that just to freak out my vegan friends!

I bet Era and you are still happily digesting <3
