AirPlay mirroring to Apple TV is awesome!

I can stream CNN, Sho, HBO, etc to my tv and work on photoshop files on my big tv without any serious lag. It's also pretty neat for reading webpages. I wonder how it will work with Steam games.

I climbed a tree with my cat. It was fun, but we both got scared and came down! But still, it was pretty thrilling to be up there together!

Seriously! I <3 you Amey!

Mine was that I celebrated my birthday (yes, again!) with my family today! We went to a fancy veggie place (I have never been somewhere that doesn't serve meat with my family. Ever!) and everyone enjoyed it. My dad even ordered Hoisin Tofu as a starter and loved it! I was so amused at how surprised they were that veggie food can be really, really good.

I finished a half Ironman!!! It was *&$#@*%& hard, yo. But I did it and no one can ever take that away from me. (And I beat my sister by a teeny tiny bit... seriously, 45 seconds maybe.)

Sold my old car for a bit more than I expected to! I picked an asking price about $500 over the blue book value and ended up getting just $200 less than I asked for. I'm feeling something close to imposter syndrome about it - I mean, it's an old car with >100k miles on it, mechanically it has never had a problem but it has its old car issues here and there. So I feel guilty for selling the guy an old car, but on the other hand, it's not like I hid the miles or anything! Weird feeling.

But anyway, that's good, because the whole thing was stressing me out. My dad did all the showing and money exchanging and stuff but even having people calling my phone was stressful because I haaaate haaaaaaaaaate talking on the phone with random strangers. I am definitely an introvert and will only get out of my shell and meet new people if really pushed and prodded, and like to do it on my own terms so people calling or showing up at the door freaks me out.

So many things - long park visit with friends and babies, visiting my grandparents' graves and filling them in on what's going on with our family, watching my daughter water the flowers she planted just the way her grandmother taught her, riding bikes, having my mother in law ride my bike on her street while my daughter ran back and forth and shrieked with glee, "gamma gamma bike ride! Yay gamma going bike ride!"

Thanks!! I only had one burrito, but it was excellent.

Apropos of nothing, I estimated my total caloric burn for the day as ~6000, maybe 6200. Woah.

Not today, but yesterday I had an amazing day with my boyfriend. We visited his family (his grandma had biscoff cookies!!), walked about 4 miles on the beach, went to a hookah lounge, had sushi, falafel and tea and watched a movie. Phew! I'm so thankful for having him.

Congratulations monkeytoes! You're amazing.

Three days past (self-imposed) deadline, I finally hired a contractor to do the necessary foundation work on my house. I feel a million pounds lighter. It's a happy coincidence that the friendliest, most responsive, most professional contractor I contacted also handed in the lowest quote. Still a couple thousand more than I had hoped to pay, but... that's home ownership for ya.

I will do a doodle of it for you tomorrow!
I would do it right now, but Snoopy is sound asleep on my left arm and Yummers is asleep across my lap, and I am trapped with only one hand. Please do not send help!

Ameyfm, every time you mention Yummers I feel compelled to go watch the video of Yummers eating asparagus, and then the youtube sidebar offers me up other videos in your feed so I end up watching Yummers eating broccoli and then Snoopy tap dancing because he thinks he's going out and then Snoopy playing fetch and then I just squee myself from all of the assorted cute!
