I missed you.

You were always in my heart.

But not literally, that would be gross.

Like mother, like daughter? Alison probably didn't get that horrible on her own. But yeah, when she called her Hefty Hanna I was just like... REALLY? Nice. No wonder your daughter was such a bisque.

I am glad to be back! I have lots of feelings re: television. I need to see if there's a Hannibal thread, and if there's not I'm starting one.

I thought so too, but I also thought a women her age would have more decency. I cringed when she mentioned Heft Hanna.

I thought Toby's 'sad' scene was badly acted. Like another cringing moment for me. I really do not want to see another plot point come up with his mom's suicide, enough is going on already.

I hope Emily's pill thing is over - I do not want to see the series try to battle pill addiction all season long. Saved by the Bell did it - in 30 minutes a long time ago!

Was that a flash going off when Hanna's mom was taking out the trash? It was pretty light, why did she not see it?

The main thing about how they keep introducing new mysteries is that really, at this point it's so incredibly convoluted that there is no explanation for it all that could possibly be satisfactory. There are so many plot threads that no one can even tell what's going on!

But yeah, I'm with you on the pill thing. Although honestly I'm surprised they're not all on massive doses of antidepressants.

I think I remember the flash, but I don't know what it was either. Maybe A taking a picture? But it wasn't a terrible incriminating moment.

Anxiety-meds!

Also when Emily hit her head, there was blood (ouch!), she did not even have any tape/bandage thing going on.

Oh and Mona...do we trust her?

I can't decide! Like, she's totally not trustworthy. If I were any of them, I wouldn't trust her. But I think I kind of do?

I looked at an article about new summer shows since all I have is PLL, and this show is new and the blurb about it referenced PLL. The pilot expires in five days if anyone wants to give it a whirl with me (and then obviously we will start a new thread).

Does speculation need to go in spoilers?

I'm going to spoilerize it anyway since I think this speculation is just that good

Spoiler: show
My boyfriend pointed this out when we were watching the episodes out of order the other day and saw Alison holding her breath right after that hand shot up out of the ground - what if when Alison was holding her breath was supposed to like foreshadow her being really good at holding her breath when she's like buried underground and stuff?

I'm not totally sold on the Alison not being dead for real thing. But it's at least possible that it's another Jenna situation where there's someone else that thinks they killed her and dunn dunn dunn...she was just buried alive and escaped and then someone ELSE killed her. I do think the breath holding was foreshadowing though because after he said that it made me think about how weird it was that she held her breath instead of something more typical and embarrassing like screaming or cutting herself to be manipulative.

Fee, I think you might be onto something! To be honest, I spoiled myself for the overall storyline of the books so I'm pretty sure I know the ultimate end game, but how they're getting there is a goddamn mystery to me.

I work in a library and one of our teen patrons spoiled the ending for me (well, she spoiled the end of the books, but I'm assuming the show is following the basic trajectory of the books). I told her she was banned from the library.

The ending of which set of books? There's 8 books, I think? I read the first four and A is one person and then the next set A is someone else. A lot is different from the books, characters are still living and important to the show whereas they die pretty much in the first or second book.

Also, I don't think Alison would have cut herself because then it would leave scars and she seems like the type of person who would die if she found a scar on her.

I've never read the books, but when I was making my PLL mix I had to google to check something, and in the preview blurb one of the first sites listed said who A is in the first set of books.

Fortunately, if you didn't read the books, there's a lot of rumors on the web of who A is so they could be wrong (although I suspect it was real).

I've read stuff about all the books, because I'm a weirdo who likes being spoiled for things. But the thing is that even as I was doing that, I could still barely tell what was going on, so at least the convolutedness is consistent.

All right kids, I'm about to watch the first episode of Twisted. Bring on the drama and unrealistic plot twists.
